Election results: How many military absentee ballots are left to count in Georgia? Zach Dennis zdennis@savannahnow.com Georgia had 17,000 military and overseas ballots requested for the Georgia Senate race runoffs, said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. Those ballots can arrive by 5 p.m. Friday and still be eligible for tally in this historic runoff election between Raphael Warnock and Kelly Loeffler in one Senate race, and Jon Ossoff against David Perdue in the second race. In the general election in November, the Secretary of State’s office announced that 8,900 military and overseas absentee ballots had been sent out, but not yet returned on the final day of eligibility in that election.
