Prince George Free Press » Electoral boundary commission hits Prince George next week

Tom Melnick
The ninth independent and non-partisan British Columbia Electoral Boundaries Commission wants your input on the area, boundaries and names of provincial electoral districts to be used for the next two provincial general elections.
“Now is the time to have your say and shape your province,” states Commission Chair Justice Tom Melnick, in a press release. “This democratic process is a unique opportunity for British Columbians to provide their views about how their communities are represented geographically in the Legislative Assembly.”
Beginning on Monday, September 22, the commission is holding public hearings in 29 communities throughout B.C. to hear views and receive presentations and submissions. It will be hosting a public hearing in Prince George Thursday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Sandman Signature Hotel.
