Ford left the Sturgeon Bay area of eastern Wisconsin on Dec. 28 with her borrowed dog, Diggins. She expects to finish her hike March 6 at the western end of the Ice Age Trail — at Interstate State Park near St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, about 90 miles south of Superior.
