Updated June 3, 2021 10:10 a.m. EDT By Kasey Cunningham, WRAL reporter Durham, N.C. — Duke coach Mike Kryzyewski will get his farewell tour. Many argue 'Coach K' deserves it after a litany of accomplishments at Duke, where he molded the Blue Devils into college basketball's premier team. On Wednesday, the legendary men's basketball coach announced he will retire after the upcoming 2021-2022 season, which will be his 42nd in Durham. Kryzyewski will speak with the media at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Thursday, detailing his decision to retire on the court which bears his name. On Thursday morning, balloons with 'happy retirement,' 'thank you' and 'we love you' messages were spotted at 'Krzyzewskiville' on Duke's campus outside the stadium.
