EOC marks 6 virus cases over weekend : vimarsana.com

KETCHIKAN (KDN) — The Ketchikan Emergency Operations Center announced six new positive novel coronavirus test results on Tuesday, and for the first time in more than two weeks, no individuals were hospitalized in the COVID-19 unit at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center.
“One case was reported after the press release on (Friday), and five were reported today,” according to a Tuesday evening press release from the EOC. “Of the six cases, one was determined to be community spread, and five are under investigation.”
One of the new cases involved an individual who was not vaccinated but was eligible to be vaccinated, and one involved someone who was not eligible to be vaccinated, while four of the cases involved individuals whose vaccination status was unknown by Tuesday evening, according to the EOC dashboard.
