Jaylen Rosga's recruiting process and verbal commitment to national powerhouse Maryland was, perhaps, the opposite of conventional; but to anyone familiar with her story, that makes sense. The Minnesota phenom has been suiting up for two club programs — Lacrosse Monkeys and Long Island Yellow Jackets — for the past two years. A three-sport (cross country/ track & field, basketball, lacrosse) Varsity athlete since seventh grade, Rosga had slowly established herself as the premier lacrosse talent coming out of the Midwest — and one of the top overall recruits in the Class of 2022 — before sustaining an ACL, MCL and meniscus tear while playing lacrosse on July 19, 2019.
