Escaped inmate surrenders in Lorain County, another still missing Cliff Pinckard, cleveland.com ELYRIA, Ohio — An inmate who escaped two weeks ago from the Lorain/Medina Community Based Correctional Facility has been taken into custody, but another inmate remains on the loose. Kevin McKitrick surrendered to authorities Wednesday afternoon at the Lorain County Jail in Elyria after two days of phone conversations with sheriff’s detectives, members of U.S Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and other authorities, according to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office. He has been charged with escape and vandalism, and is scheduled to appear Thursday in Elyria Municipal Court.
