Corry Evans has been named Sunderland AFCâs new team captain ahead of the 2021-22 campaign. Aiden McGeady has been named vice-captain, with club captains Bailey Wright and Luke OâNien joining Lynden Gooch and Tom Flanagan to complete the senior teamâs new leadership group. Evans, who joined the club in July following an eight-year spell with Blackburn Rovers, made over 200 appearances during his time at Ewood Park and he has earnt 65 international caps to date.
