THE adapted Royal Bath & West Show for 2021 has been postponed. The Great British Country Festival - set to run instead of the traditional show - was due to take place in early June, but due to the coronavirus pandemic it has been rescheduled for August 27-29 2021. Organisers said it would be a "challenge" to host a mass public gathering safely, and it is "unlikely" we will be back to normality by June. Rupert Co, the Bath & West Society's chief executive, said they had "hoped" to run the event in June, but have now decided to postpone for public safety. "It has become apparent that even though a large percentage of the population will have been vaccinated, it is felt that the potential for continued safety restrictions will limit our visitors enjoyment," he said.
