KUALA LUMPUR: Former Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng ( pic), who has been extradited to the United States to face charges related to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) there, is expected to be back in Malaysia after June 1. Deputy Public Prosecutor Norinna Bahadun told the High Court that Ng will be in the country after June 1 based on an application by the US Department of Justice (DoJ). At the High Court here, Ng - whose birth name is Ng Chong Hwa - is facing four counts of abetting Goldman Sachs pertaining to the sale of guaranteed notes and bonds belonging to a 1MDB subsidiary, amounting to US$6.5bil (RM26.7bil), by omitting material facts and making false statements.
