Posted: Apr 12, 2021 5:37 PM Posted By: Chelsea Hunt LAKESIDE, Ore. – An explosive device was found in the Elliott State Forest in the Lakeside area on Sunday, the Coos County Sheriff’s office said. Someone was in the area with family when they came across a device that looked like a pipe bomb near milepost 2 on the 4000 line into the forest. At about 12:30 p.m., deputies arrived to the scene and determined it appeared to be a live explosive device. The Oregon State Police Explosives Unit was called in from Central Point.
