Facebook is turning up the heat in it's fight against a government code that would force it to pay local media organisations for displaying their news content.
This morning Australians woke to find that Australian news content had been blocked from their feeds, along with content from a number of NGOs and government agencies.
The legislation - set to clear the Senate next week - would also apply to Google, which has begun negotiating agreements of its own with media providers.
