Date Time Fail to Comply with a Direction Charge in Perth 8 February A 48-year-old man has been arrested, charged and refused bail after failing to comply with a COVID quarantine direction upon arriving in Western Australia, and threatening to spit on security staff. The South Australian man was approved to enter Western Australia as an Australian citizen returning from overseas (Poland) for compassionate reasons, via the G2G Pass system. He arrived at Perth Airport on Thursday 28 January 2021, on a flight from Doha, and was issued a direction to quarantine for 14 days at a WA Government-managed hotel in Perth. About 6:40pm last night, Sunday 7 February 2021, it will be alleged the man left his allocated room, in breach of his quarantine direction, and failed to comply with a request from security staff to return to his room. It will be further alleged the man entered the emergency stairwell before returning to his allocated room.
