Date Time Fail to Comply with a Direction Charges 6 July A 32-year-old man has been arrested, charged and refused bail after failing to comply with quarantine and travel directions given to him upon arriving in Western Australia. The man arrived at Perth Airport on Thursday 1 July 2021 on a flight from New South Wales, and was advised he was being refused entry to Western Australia due to his travel origin. The man was directed to stay in self-quarantine at a specific hotel and to leave Western Australia on the first available flight. It will be alleged the man failed to remain in the nominated hotel accommodation and failed to leave Western Australia. It will be further alleged when contacted by police officers conducting inquiries into his whereabouts he falsely stated he had left Western Australia and was in Queensland. About 1:55pm yesterday, Monday 5 July 2021, the man was arrested after a vehicle he was travelling in was stopped on the North West Coastal Highway in Nanutarra, about 1,000km from Perth.
