Young farmers in Punjab and Haryana are protesting against the Centre's proposal for procurement of pulses, maize, and cotton at the MSP for five years. They have been camping at the Shambhu and Khanauri points on Punjab's border with Haryana since February 13. The farmers are demanding legal guarantees for MSP and farm loan waivers.
