Date Time Fatal pedestrian crash at Wagga Wagga A man has died after being struck by a car in the state’s south-west overnight. About 5.45pm (Wednesday 2 June 2021), emergency services were called to Mitchellmore Street in Mount Austin, a suburb of Wagga Wagga, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a Ford Falcon. The man, aged 69, was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital in a critical condition with serious head and internal injuries; however, he died a short time later. Officers from Riverina Police District attended and established a crime scene. The driver of the Ford, a 31-year-old man, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
