He is expected to meet with chinese president xijinping on saturday on the sidelines of the g20 to discuss a potential trade deal. Trade re representatives from te u. S. And china have been in talks ahead of the meeting. Dagen mcdowell is back, American Conservative Union chairman matt sh lap is back and host of the secrets of wealthy women podcast which i was happy to bon it, veronica dogger is joining us. Great to see you, veronica, matt, dagen. Dagen it has been too long. Cant wait for your interview with President Trump. Maria we have a lot to talk about with the president this morning. There is optimism today ahead of the potential conversation with president xijinping in japan for a chinau. S. Deal. What are you expecting . Dagen something, lets hope. I think the markets, despite the turnaround this morning with the losses yesterday, the markets are craving something that brings stability. Ill point to Consumer Confidence, the confidence fell to a 21 month low. Consumers are rattled by that. The 10 year yield fell below 2 and despite that, you really havent seen a big boost in the Housing Market because of that. So i think individuals, not just focus on the stock market but individuals in this country are craving some stability and i think that thats what theyre looking for in terms of a deal. That could change too. In the past, the tradish were affecting a niche part of america. So our farmers were greatly suffering. Theyre greatly suffering because of some of the conflicts. But now its spreading to the larger economy, right, and so were seeing that in the Consumer Confidence numbers that more of americans are feeling this trade tension and want some resolution. It hasnt yet really hit Consumer Spending he yet, confidence is one thing, spending is another. I think this is another thing the fed is watching closely and if we see this pullback in spending, this is all the more ammunition for the fed to adjust rates. Maria what is the president going to agree to . If the chinese refuse to do anything in terms of stealing intellectual property, forcing the transfer of technology, can the president accept a deal . I think everybody wants to get to a deal but the question is whats in the deal. Maria exactly. I think what the president s trying to make xi understand is that they have to change some things including the criminal stealing of intellectual property these are real issues. I think its good that hes going to address address them f sweep them aside. Maria the real question for the markets is the remaining 325 billion in chinese products coming into the United States and will the president put the new tariffs on that, the remaining products. So i dont know. Can you get a deal done in a day in japan at the g20 . Probably not. But maybe something gets kicked down the road, the can gets kicked down the road and theres a delay on that final 325 billion in products. Thats really going to be the market mover. What deal do you get thats enforceable, right . You can come up with the greatest deal. One of the difficulties with dealing with the chinese is being able to enforce whatever you put in place and who is going to be overseeing that. Is it actually going to get done. Maria the enforcement mechanism is real important. Lets talk 2020. We have debates tonight and tomorrow, 10 democrats facing off tonight in miami in the first debate of the election cycle. Tonights candidates include Elizabeth Warren, cory booker, beto orourke, bill de blasio. Tomorrow night joe biden goes head to head with Bernie Sanders, kamala harris, pete buttigieg, among others. This comes as Robert Mueller is set to testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee and on the House Intel Committee on july 17th. The president reacted to this. Heres what the president said. President ial harassment once again. Your reaction . Yeah, well, theres three men on the stage tonight who wont be on the stage. Donald trump, joe biden, and Robert Mueller. Lets face it, thats the people theyre going to be talking about. Joe biden has had a large and consistent lead in this democratic nomination contest. I dont think its probably sustainable. But it is amazing that this older guy who has been around for five decades is leading the pack in a party, Democratic Party that is now socialist, progressive, reaching for really radical policy alternatives but yet uncle joe seems to be leading the pack. Maria its pretty incredible, actually. Do you think hell end up being the candidates for the dems. I dont. Maria im questioning it as well. Theyre a party based on race and what boxes you can check about who you are. Joe biden doesnt check those boxes. Theres a greater move to the left. The far left candidates seem to be the ones standing out for whatever reason. Maria look at Elizabeth Warren. Are you surprised how far Elizabeth Warren has come . Dagen she calls for decriminalizing the border crossings. Maria decriminalizing. Dagen can we point out that Milton Freeman famously said freedman that you cant have open borders and a welfare state at the same time. She is basically shes for basically welt confiscation wealth confiscation. These are soviet style policies. Medicare for all, like the whole hemisphere i guess is what they mean. Maria its extraordinary to say decriminalizing border crossings. What is this country supposed to do. We let in 1 Million People a year legally. And now were talking about illegals, the apprehensions are going to be a million for this year. This is the problem we have. We have more than illegal immigration system than we have a legal immigration. We give more green cards and a allow asylum to more people than any country literally in the history of the earth. Yet at the same time, more people come here illegally and can find a liberal judge that allows them to break all the rules and cut in all the lines and theyre able to stay and its really a disgrace. Maria its expensive. You dont talk about the cost of housing those people, the benefits that come with living here. Its a crisis. Maria it sure is a crisis. These people that look at the border, its like these people are coming willfully on their owe volition to come here and they say crazy things and say were treat people like theyre in concentration camps. Dagen if her economic policies drive things into a pothole, it will reduce illegal immigration and people wont want to im great here. Maria did you see that picture, its a horrible picture, i have it on my phone, it was a drowned man and his daughter underscoring the crisis at the border. Its a real there has to be no one on either side of the aisle wants to see children dying. Its a horrible thing. So how do you something needs to be done. Who knows what it is. At this moment when you see these images, the public sentiment is deeply im a pacted by that. Its simple to know what to do. People south of the border need to understand if they cross illegally that theyre going to be detained and sent back. We have to start doing that or more children are going to die. Maria well see if they can fix the loopholes. Real quick, a comment on Robert Mueller. Look, the dems dont want to give this up. We know what was in the Mueller Report. I think the republicans are going to have really important questions for this guy. How about with the Mueller Report, when did you know that there was no collusion, no conspiracy, no cooperation between the Trump Administration and russia. The last fisa warrant was renewed in june of 2017, about the time Robert Mueller came onboard and then it wasnt renewed in the fall, so 2017. Huh, that was over a year before the midterm elections. Why didnt you Say Something to the American People. Maria you sat on it so the midterm elections can move forward and acted like you didnt know that there was no collusion. Im going to make a bold prediction. I dont think Robert Mueller wants to testify. I dont think hes in a Great Condition to testify. He kind of dialed it in at the end of his investigation. Maria i think youre right. Im actually interested to see how he performs. Because i dont think he drove this process. I think all those democratic lawyers underneath him drove it. Dagen i want him to show up with binders of the Mueller Report and say i send you to page 238, let me just read from it. Hes going to read from it. Maria thats what he wants to do. He said hes not going to say another word beyond the report. He didnt read so well at that press conference. Its unrealistic that hes going to say anything new. Maria weve got a lot to talk about this morning. Dagen, matt, veronica. Stay with us, and stay tuned. Ill be speaking with President Trump in the 8 00 a. M. Hour. He will weigh in on all of the above, trade, iran, 2020, dont miss it as the president calls into the program this morning. Meanwhile, this. Two u. S. Service members were killed in afghanistan overnight. Cheryl casone with that story in headlines right now. Cheryl its unclear whether the two died in combat. The troops have not yesterday been identified. Their deaths happening hours after secretary of state mike pompeo made a surprise visit to the war zone. More than 2400 u. S. Service personnel have died in afghanistan since the u. S. Led coalition invaded back in october of 2001. Pompeo says he is hopeful a peace deal with the taliban could come before september. Well, back here at home, philadelphia Energy Solutions reportedly is going to shut down the oil refinery in the city after it was damaged if a massive fire last friday. Sources say they expect to lay off the Union Workers at the plant. It could affect gasoline supplies in the northeast corridor. The company declined to comment on the report. The cause of the fire is not yet determined. Oil is up more than a dollar in the premarket, a big part of that is iran. Bitcoin is still bouncing. The Digital Currency rallying again this morning, trading at over 12,000, 12,395 right now. Bitcoin tripled since the beginning of the year, jumping about 15 over the last 24 hours. President trump answering questions about it yesterday at the white house. Watch this. There is no message. You know, ill tell you what the message is. When theyre ready, theyll have to let us know. When theyre ready, theyll let us know. Very simple. Ready to negotiate, you mean. Ready to do whatever. Doesnt make a difference. Whatever they want to do, im ready. Maria joining me now is daniel davis and phil flynn. Colonel davis, thanks for being here this morning. Your reaction to the unfolding situation with iran. The biggest thing thats not being addressed here is what the maximum Pressure Campaign is expected to accomplish. Right now, according to bolton on monday, its the complete dismantlement of the Nuclear Program, its the Ballistic Missile program and maligned activities worldwide. There is no nuclear to dismantle. As of late early 2018, there is no program. So youre trying to pressure them into negotiating something, number one, that doesnt exist and on the Ballistic Missile program, they consider that part of their national defense, necessary things. Theyre not going to disarm unless were willing to give something bigger than we gave in the obama deal. Its hard to see how bolton or pompeo will give more to iran than obama did. Thats where we are. Maria look at the iranian economy. The sanctions are killing it right now, even worse than before. Doesnt that have an impact in terms of moving the leadership . Well, what it has an impact of doing is moving us closer to war. Again, they have no Nuclear Program to negotiate away. They havent done one. So then basically it puts us in an unachieveable situation where we have pressure but no possibility for an upside and thats just not in americas interest. Maria phil flynn, whats the impact in terms of oil prices . Weve already seen it. Already, tankers going through the straits of hormuz, shouldnt rates have gone through insurance rates have gone through the roof, up 7 , to insure the tankers and the oil. This is a big threat. A lot of people think because u. S. Is the biggest oil producer, this is nothing to worry about, you know, its somebody elses problem. Its everybodys problem. If we get into a major conflict with iran and we lose 20 of the daily oil supply, its going to hurt not just here in the u. S. , but around the world. But i think donald trump makes a great point. Hes saying hey, you know what, the whole worlds going to have a problem if this happens. Were in the best shape probably because were the worlds biggest producer. So everybody else has to kick in, protect the straits of hormuz. The u. S. Is not the worlds policeman when it comes to this situation. Let me ask colonel this question about what does iran have to negotiate away. If they dont have anything close to a Nuclear Weapons program, why did the whole world including europe talk about getting a nuclear deal with iran . Number two, dont we need to keep the maximum pressure up because they are the globes leading sponsor of terrorism and dont we want to let them know that every step they take in that direction will be met with a u. S. Response . Well, the bottom line, what we have to focus on is what is going to improve americas security and when youre talking about pressure on something that theyre not going to be able to negotiate away, to answerer first question about the nuclear wadiehl was to pre nuclear dl was to he prevent them from getting a President Trump ex chees exclusively abou, huawei, the g 20 and Robert Mueller testifying. Maria theres a report from bank of america late yesterday, bank of america sees risk of 30 oil if the situation between the u. S. And china continues to deteriorate. 30 a barrel oil. Do you see that happening . Real quick. Not at all, unless we go into global recession and thats not happening. Maria thank you, sirs. Thank you. Maria back in a minute. It all started under this buttonwood tree. Twentyfour people came together to sign an agreement that created the stock exchange. Just the right elements coming together. It started when scores more people came together, just down the street and traded bonds that helped pay for the revolution, and the nation it created. It started in an office on the corner where the right people witnessed the telegraph and brought information and humanity together forever. It started with the markets, bringing together steel and buildings and silicon and medicine and rockets. We believe the possibilities of life and investing are greater when we come together. Its why for eighty years weve connected ideas with technology, data with inspiration, investors with solutions. So that every day together, it all starts again. At comcast, we didnt build the nations largest gigspeed network just to make businesses run faster. We built it to help them go beyond. Because beyond risk. Welcome to the neighborhood, guys. Every day, comcast business is helping businesses go beyond the expected, to do the extraordinary. Take your business beyond. Maria welcome back. Futures pointing now to a rally at the start of trading this morning, dow industrials up 139 points and the nasdaq up 67. Joining us right now is Vantage Point investment invieders, chief investment officer, wayne wicker. Markets rallying today, would you buy it or sell it this morning. This morning you have to be cautious. I think markets have run pretty hard. We had the best six months in the last 20 years. In my mind, i think markets are a bit overbought at this level. Maria part of the reason is the rock bottom rates. Interest rates dropping below 2 last week on the 10 year as you noted. Dagen right, what happens to your valuation equation on stocks if you get a move up in longer term Interest Rates, is that a possibility . Back above 2 , but still the lowest since i think President Trump was elected. Dagen, youre right, i think that this decline, precipitous decline in rates has driven the markets this year so far. Sso to the extent you get any backup at all, it gives Equity Investors a bit of a pause, especially with the geopolitical concerns we see. Maria jay powell spoke in new york city at the council on foreign relations, he said the central bank will not be affected by political pressure. His comments coming as President Trump is continuing to call for a rate cut. Powell also weighed in on trade uncertainty. Watch this. The amount of tariffs that are in place right now is not large enough to represent a major, sit evidence, just from sort of a quantitative standpoint a major throat the economy. That isnt the point though. The concern is more around loss of confidence or Financial Market reaction and those concerns heightened quite substantially as of the last beige book. The number of mentions of trade concerns doubled in the last beige book, the one for this meeting. The mechanical effects on demand, what weve seen so far is meaningful, but not large. I think there is a discussion of much greater tariffs and i think thats where the uncertainty is and thats where the concerns are. Maria i think the fact that he was so tame in terms of the impact of the tariffs and that theyre going to take a wait and see attitude really sparked a big selloff yesterday. I think thats the way the rest of the year will go. Youll have tension between whats going on politically and what somebody like jay powell is looking at fundamentally in the economy. So the markets are ebbing and flowing with every bit of news that comes out and i think that thats typical of what were going to see going into the second half of the year. What gets them to move, what gets the fed chairman to take action . I think youve seen things yesterday, veronica, like the Confidence Index by the Conference Board coming down dramatically. Youve seen new house prices yesterday surprisingly weak and i think if you get into earnings in the Second Quarter here that are well below consensus expectations, all of those feed into i think the feds decision. Dagen that leaves an economy popotentially that cant be savd by lower rates. If you have a 10 year at 2 and Mortgage Rates at rock bottom levels and you cant juice home sales in the country, how is a lower Interest Rate going to rescue a market . This is on the white house, quite frankly, to get a deal done and create a more stable Global Economic Playing Field for us and everyone else. Well, i think that certainly in the second half of this year were going to have to see a lot more support by the white house in terms of pushing Consumer Confidence higher, whether it is ultimately getting something done on the tariff front that continue toss weigh on int f investors investors minds or other things that could hopefully bolster Consumer Confidence. Maria Second Quarter earnings start in two weeks. Will it be a good quarter . You start to see estimates rising after falling for the first four months. Maria okay. I think youre going to see some exceeding expectations but i think youll see downside surprises. I think in general youll see second half earnings will do a little better reflecting some of the declines in Interest Rates weve seen in first half. Maria are you selling into any strength here . Were longer term investors. We have a longer term view that equities especially u. S. Equities are going to be pretty good over the next 12 months. So while were guarded shortterm, i think longer term the u. S. Is a place to be and id prefer equities over other asset classes. Maria coming up, crisis at the border, Congress Passes a multibillion dollar funding bill for huma humanitarian aid whilee company will have a walkout. Anback in a minute later this hour. Thanks so much nor joining us. Im maria bartiromo. It is wednesday, june 26th. Your top stories right now, 6 3. Coming up, my one on one with President Trump. The president will be headed to japan today for an important meeting request president xijinping. In the 8 00 a. M. Hour ill talk with President Trump about trade, huawei, g20, muellers testimony and tonights democratic debate. Markets are rallying, dow futures indicate a gain of 129 points this morning, we are looking at an opening of up 61 on the nasdaq this morning. There is optimism, going into this meeting, that perhaps the two sides can come to some agreement. Yesterday was the worst day of the month for markets. We had disappointing news on new home sales, Consumer Confidence and there was jay powell making comments that hes taking a wait and see attitude toward cutting Interest Rates. The dow was down 179 points, twothirds of 1 . S p was down 27, almost 1 . And the nasdaq was down 121 points, 1 andahalf percent lower. European indices taking a cue from wall street and trading up, fq100 up 4 points, cac up 11, dax up by 73. Markets were mixed in asia following the selloff on wall street. Japan down one half of 1 . Find out the retailers mega plan to combat amazons prime day sale. A blow to netflix, the number one show is moving the streaming service. Well tell you where its going. All those stories coming up this wednesday morning. First, our top story this half hour, border crisis. Congress passed a funding bill yesterday to provide food, water and shelter for people entering the United States at the southern border. The senate expected to take up its version of the legislation this week. This as employees at wayfair are planning a backout after the company declined to end bed sales to border facilities. Elizabeth warren says shes in favor of decriminalizing border crossings. Joining us rights now is fox news senior judicial analyst judge andrew na napolitano. Thats a mouthful, everything thats going on. When the Trump Administration decided not to make the same mistakes as the obama add medicine phrase, people making administration, people making an application at the border, well let you go and you come back for your hearing, 90 didnt come back, it had the obligation to keep them in custody and thats whats caused the crisis. There isnt enough room, there isnt enough space, there arent enough judges and there isnt enough money in the budget for that. Thats what theyre addressing. The trump objection, and i agree with him on this, is the house version, if you read it, is so precise as to what they must spend the money on that it doesnt give the president the wiggle room he needs to make adjustments to move money from one column to the next. I suspect that that will be dialed back because the Senate Version will not have these restrictions in it. And obviously the president will either can only get one unified version, either to sign or veto in the hopes of getting something back. The border crisis is exacerbated by the government running out of money. Maria the house passes a bill to basically treat the people coming over better. Yes. Maria give them food, give them places to stay. Right. Maria whereas the house should be looking at the loopholes to stop some of these apprehensions, to stop these people from coming. Im looking at a letter from congress to hhs, secretarial ex sazar and kevi. They write hhs anticipates running out of funding, running out of money as soon as this month. So this morning reading all these notes that chad pilgrim and the others from dc send us, one was a transcript of mrs. Pelosis comments to her cacaucus, basically saying thiss not an immigration bill, this is not the time to change the law, this is just time to get the president the money he needs but were not necessarily going to let him spend it the way he wants to spend it. Youll have to ask what will you do with the 4. 5 billion. Didnt he say he was going to veto it. He did. That was before the version they passed last night came down. Look, judge, they cant say its not an emergency and then pass an emergency bill. Thats insane. Number two, the only quibble i have with what you said is its not just that donald trump decided to hold onthese people, he cant hold them past a certain set number of days. We still have catch and release. The laws are still disgracefully filled with loopholes. The reason we have this problem, theres an influx from the south because they know if they can step a foot on our soil, that they interest a great chance of staying as long as they want. Correct. Heres where the president is 100 correct. I have read from beginning to end Immigration Laws. The first Immigration Law was written in 1886, the last one meaningful one was written 100 years later. If you took the dates out, you can tell which part was write when depending on different attitudes the establishment had on immigration. The president wants to he throw it out and have one set of laws to address the problems today. I could not agree with him more. That is not going to happen while the democrats control either house of congress. So his best hope for that is if he presumably gets reelected with republicans in the house hes kicking himself for not having done this in his first two years because paul ryan, i believe hell tell you this, advised him against this. Maria we were all on russia hysteria the first two years dis they denied there was a crisis at the border for months and months and months. Up until a few weeks ago dis the New York Times embarrassed some of the democrats by saying there is a crisis. Ism going to Say Something outrageous. The democrats more than anything want to hang the suffering of women and children on the president. They do. Dagen so it is in their best interest to drag their feet and go, well, we passed this. It doesnt give the president the ability, this funding bill, to even add new enforcement personnel at immigration and customs. By the way, they want these women and children to suffer for their own political gain and its disgraceful. That is reprehensible. Its malfeasance in office and its tying the president s hands. I have to say about Elizabeth Warren, she says she wants to decriminalize. Its not a crime to enter unlawfully. Its a crime to reenter the United States after youve been kicked out. It should be a crime to enter the United States unfal unlawfu. Maria fed ex is suing the Commerce Department over restrictions on huawei equipment. Fred smith was on with brett behr. He explained the problem. Listen to this. The increasing use of restrictions on exports and imports by the Commerce Department in various geopolitical and trade disputes creates just an impossible burden on fed ex and common carriers because under the department of commerces regulations, we are expected to be policemen for these export and import controls. Maria as u. S. Tech companies are looking for ways to resume shipments of huawei equipment, fred smith says theyre in the middle of all this. Fred smith in my view is 100 correct. The law before the regulations came down, was the common carrier was not responsible for the contents of what they were delivering unless they have reason to suspect something violates the law. The rules that came down from wilbur ross and the department of commerce which is why fred smith filed the complaint requires the common carrier to know whats inside the box. So they would literally have to come up with software to go inside the box and see if theres anything the box thats literally on the truck, is there something in there that was made by huawei. That is transferring Law Enforcement authority from the federal government to the private common carrier. Thats what hes complaining about. This whats inside there, is it something from huawei, should be determined by the government at the port of entry, not by fed ex when its in memphis. Hows the government maria the government is going to do that with machinery. The government has to do it with machinery at the governments expense. The government cant expect private industry to do it. Maria im going to speak to the head of the Commerce Department, my interview coming up with wilbur ross, 7 00 a. M. Eastern. Well talk china and huawei and fred smith and fed exs lawsuit. 8 00 a. M. President trump will join us to talk iran, the g20 and a lot more. Join us for President Trump this morning. Exclusive. Joining me now, dr. Michael greger many thank you for joining us. Good to have you. Happy to be here. Maria i know your book has been around a long time, how not to die. So thats my daily dozen list of the healthiest of healthy foods. Like greens, berries, whole grains, flax seeds, the best sweeteners, theres a free app, dr. Gregers daily dozen. Maria this came about from your work on nutrition, your website, nutritionfacts. Org, right . Yeah, sure. I mean, i try to share the good news. We have tremendous power over our health, destiny and longevity. The vast majority of premature death and disability is preventable with a plant based diet and other Healthy Lifestyle behaviors. Maria you have found success being vegan. Its changed your life. Dagen ive been a vegetarian for a decade, a vegan the last couple years. I want to ask you this. Do you feel like you have to scare people into eating well and changing their diet, that they have to face some very severe disease to make changes . Well, certainly have the advantage as a physician to see people when they are in dire straits and they have extra motivation. The sustaining motivation is how good you feel when you start eating healthier. I encourage people to try a healthy diet, like a free sample, give me two weeks, three weeks, try eating healthy. Theres the internal motivation, all of a sudden you feel better, sleep better, digestion is better. Have you internal motivation to continue to eat healthy because you feel better. But you dont know how good you feel until you give it a try. This is veronica. What do you say to people who say this sounds great but i dont have the time for this and i cant afford to eat this healthy. Whole foods, its so expensive. Well, you think about some of the healthiest foods are actually some of the cheapest, fruits and vegetables, dried beans, you cant get better than that. What the new study shows about processed meats, the ab; abject failure about the warning of consumers about processed meats, human ca carcinogens, we know it causes cancer in people. Why do we send kids to school with a baloney sandwich. Dagen if one more person waves a piece of bacon in my face and says i love my ba bacon, i sayen enjoy that, youre seating the soul of an animal. Maria you show solid facts that if you reverse your diet, you can lower your propensity towards Heart Disease or cancer by what, like the double digits. Go through some of the numbers. Even better than that, theres actually some of our leading killers can be reversed. Heart disease, the number one killer of men, women, artery cans be opened, Heart Disease reversed without drugs and surgery, just healthy diet centered around whole plant foods. Theres one diet thats been proven to reverse Heart Disease in the majority of patients, a plant based diet. You think that would be the default diet but instead its just not enough people know about the power they have. Maria incredible. The book it great, how not to die. Thank you so much, dr. Greger. Good to see you. Coming up, my exclusive interview with President Trump before he leaves for the g20 summit. Stay with us. That created the stock exchange. Maria great show so far. Im interested to hear what were going to hear out of the g20. I think much of the march. Net is focused on that market is focused on that. Sounds like theyre getting closer to some sort of agreement potentially. I think so much of investors are just waiting to see. Maria the chinese have been bulk up in terms of their military, theyre pumping out submarines left and right. They want to replace the u. S. As the number one super power. So theres that. You have economics and National Security interwoven, not just a question about whats happening in the domestic economy. Its a question about these problems around the globe. Who is going to be in charge. I would rather it be us. Maria somebody said the other day, the u. S. Has a duty to stop china. After i started thinking about it, i thought i agree with that you dont want a communist country the dominant player in the world. Right. And look, this is happening all kinds of ways. Look at our busses, look at our trains. Chinese basically subsidiaries controlled by the government are buying our infrastructure left and right. Does that make sense . Dagen we take power away from china by not borrowing so much debt as a nation and not needing to he rely on them to be a willing purchaser of our treasury securities. If we elect a socialist, thats going to get worse. If we elect a socialist that gets worse, more spending. Dagen no, no, no, theyre going to get the Federal Reserve to buy the debt. Were going to monetize the debt. Thats the idea. Im being sarcastic. Thats an emerging idea among the socialists. Maria are you surprised Elizabeth Warren is where she is, shes among the leadership with the dems right now. Dagen shes had naturally organic things happen on twitter, shes got a plan for that, where she offered to it was Little Things. Shes actually on the ground. She has got great political skills, i will say that for her. Her ideas are i dont know. Maria theres the compensation idea confiscation idea, the wealth tax. Dagen the dawn of the soviet union for the policy ideas. Maria joining us this morning, my exclusive interview with President Trump during the 8 00 a. M. Hour. Well talk a lot about what we discussed here with the president coming up. Heres what the president just said. Too bad the dems in Congress Wont do anything at all about border security. They want open borders which means crime but we are getting it done including building the wall. More people than ever before are coming because they usa economy is so good. The best in history writes the president this morning. Our top story this hour is gearing up for the g20. The president is leaving today for the g20 summit japan where he will meet with chinese president xijinping on saturday among other leaders. Investors are watching this high stakes meeting. The outcome could weigh heavily on markets and the Global Outlook as the worlds two largest economies work to end and ongoing trade feud. The meeting comes amid signs of slowing chinese Consumer Spending and a weakening chinese economy. Joining me now is commerce secretary, wilbur ross. Thank you for joining me. Thank you for having me on. Maria lets talk china for a moment. Can the president accept a deal if the chinese refuse to stop stealing intellectual property and forcing transfers of technology. As you know, there are several components that weve always had to the negotiations. The easy part is just solving to some degree the present deficit. More soybeans, more lng, stuff like that. The second part, which is harder, is the Structural Reforms that you mentioned, intellectual property respect, not forced technology transfers, equal market access, things of that sort. And then the third bucket is the hardest one of all, which is enforcement and punishment in the event that theres a failure to live up to the Structural Reforms. Maria where would you say we are in terms of a deal . Are we closer than we ever have been or farther . Well, you never have a deal on anything until you have a deal on everything. Maria okay. We got very, very far before the talks broke off but then there was retrograde motion by the chinese. So hopefully theyll get back to where they were before they had a Second Thought and then we can go forward from there and close the remaining gaps. Maria secretary, were going to have an official from huawei on the show tomorrow, actually. I want to get your take on huawei. Youve got the huawei black list, the u. S. Ban taking a toll on certain american Technology Companies as well. Some now finding ways to resume business with huawei, despite the ban and despite all the commentary about huawei being a National Security risk from this administration. The Worlds Largest chip makers like qualcomm, intel, restarting shipments to huawei in ways that are compliant with Commerce Department restrictions. Whats your reaction to that . Well, theres always some marginal activity around the edges, relocating production from here to there, things of that sort. But the fund me fundamental sitn remains. We do have very severe National Security concerns about huawei and we intend to use the proper measures to enforce the matters that have been put to rest. So well see how people are doing and well see what the outcome is. I dont think its quite as simple as some of the stories. Huawei has been waging a huge pr campaign on the one hand saying oh, we are okay, everything is fine and on the other hand saying there will be dire consequences. Maria what about fed ex . Fed ex is suing the Commerce Department over restrictions on huawei following the recent shipping errors involving huawei packages. We just heard from the ceo, fred smith, he was on fox just the other day. I want to play this sound bite for you and get your reaction of heres fred smith on special report last week. The increasing use of restrictions on exports and imports by the Commerce Department in various geopolitical and trade disputes creates just an impossible burden on fed ex and common carriers, because under the department of commerces regulations, we are expected to be policemen for these export and import controls. Maria what about this lawsuit, secretary . Yeah, i have a great deal of respect for fred, but he frankly is misinterpreting the regulations. What the regulations simply say is that neither fed ex nor any other common carrier can knowingly carry goods that are in violation of the rules. Knowingly. That means they have to know that they are in violation. Were not asking fred or anyone else to be a policeman. Were just asking them not to conspire with people to avoid the things. So we look forward to dealing with that matter in the litigation. I think its unfortunate that he has misinterpreted the rules. The courts will not misinterpret. Maria secretary, how are they supposed to know . These are packages, right . They dont have to know. They have to not know that its a violation. The regulation says you cannot knowingly ship it. They do have mechanisms for trying to understand and they use remember, this is not new. There are over 100 entities that are on the list. So it isnt as though this suddenly came out of the blue with huawei. These processes have been going on for years. Fed ex has pretty welcome plied with them over the years. I think this is a tempest and a tea pot. Maria when do you expect this to go to the courts . Whats the timing on this. He already went to court the day he appeared on you, on fox, he filed it about the same time with the court. Maria okay. He gave me a wakeup call, a headsup call just before he filed and i tried to explain to him that he was misinterpreting the regulation but they went ahead and filed. So this will get itself dealt with. Maria meanwhile, secretary, we got news from reuters that hackers working for Chinas Ministry of state security broke into networks of eight of the worlds Biggest Technology service providers. That was an effort to steal commercial secrets from clients according to sources familiar with these attacks. Here you have a meeting thats set, that the president is going to meet with president xijinping at the g20 on saturday. And before this meeting youve got chinese hackers directed by the Chinese Government to get into these Global Telecom companies. Your reaction . Well, im going to be at the g20. In fact im leaving with everybody else in a couple hours to go there. Its not surprising timing. I think theyre probably just trying to send us a message, their capabilities. But it certainly does not alleviate the very legitimate National Security concerns that we have about huawei and about other entities over there. Maria whats the biggest National Security risk, secretary . I understand that there are back doors. For example, just recently we heard from vodophone, the infrastructure includes huawei infrastructure in italy and an executive at vodophone noticed a back door in the infrastructure where all the data went back to the Chinese Government. So can you in a practical way explain to our viewers what specifically is the National Security risk around huawei . Well, the National Security risk and concept is several things. One is invasion of phone conversations. Second would be disrupting them. Third would be taking other actions that paralyze whole systems. With the add vent of 5g advent of 5g, which is really the big concern, everything is interrelated. Think about what the world would be like if you knocked out gps, if you knocked out telecommunications all together. Maria and the chinese have the ability to do that, given its a huawei, chinese company. Go ahead, secretary. Theres the danger. Theres the danger of it. And because 5g is so softwaredriven, this artificial notion that you can segregate one part from another leaves us very, very skeptical. Maria what would be a victory for the u. S. Coming out of the g20 meeting with president xijinping . Were not looking for a victory. What were looking for is a sensible deal that addresses the legitimate issues that we have. This is not a thing where one country is going to be pinned to the floor and knocked out. Thats not the idea. The idea is, there are inappropriate activities underway by the chinese. They must cease. If they do, and if we make some redressing of the trade imbalance, then thats a reasonable deal for both parties. So this is not trying to pin someone to th the mat. This is to try to address legitimate problems. Maria what if they dont agree to any of that . If they dont, they dont. The president made it clear hes happy to go the alternative route if he has to, the alternate route of tariffs is not a bluff. Maria secretary, good to see you this morning. Thanks very much. Safe travels. Thank you very much. Maria stay with me for my exclusive interview with President Trump coming up at 8 00 a. M. Eastern this morning. A visual snapshot of your investments. Theres something for all of us. Absolutely. Its time to upgrade. laughter at comcast, we didnt build the nations largest gigspeed network just to make businesses run faster. We built it to help them go beyond. Because beyond risk. Welcome to the neighborhood, guys. There is reward. Beyond work and life. Who else could he be . There is the moment. Beyond technology. There is human ingenuity. Every day, comcast business is helping businesses go beyond the expected, to do the extraordinary. Take your business beyond. Maria welcome back. The Opioid Crisis, alexandra real estate teaming up with do google to help fight the drug epidemic in america. Joining us right now is alexandra real estate executive and founder, joel marcus. Why was this so important to you, to be a part of this partnership . Well, as you know, we deal with campuses and building clusters to try to create Innovative Solutions to some of lifes most challenging diseases and over the past couple years we have studied and looked at the Opioid Crisis and it is probably the Health Crisis of our lifetime, much like aids was several decades ago. 115 people are dying every day, more than cumulatively have died in the vietnam war. So we had to act. Maria tell us about the campus. So we studied with google actually verily, their subsudden arealy, a couple subsidiary a couple years ago and tried to create a campus that has ultimately job placement in a safe and secure environment. And we chose dayton, ohio, the t Patent Capital of the world, the Wright Brothers were there, it had a long history of success but fell in with technology revolution, lost twothirds of its population and fell in to become the center of the Opioid Crisis in america but theyve done an amazing job over the last couple years in reducing the deaths per capita. How many jobs in the community is this creating. It sounds like its a very big campus. Its a 60,000 square foot campus in process. We have an outpatient piece now that we just opened about a week ago. Senator portman was there. The goal is to create this safe environment and use it as a model for other communities. Its not so much about job placement. Its really about can we create a detoxification and a living situation that will help people permanently get off of the opioid situation. Because the amount of recidivism after a 28day treatment, youre put back on the street, is like 99 . Its an awful statistic. Whats interesting is youre intertwining the idea of drug addiction with economic opportunity, kind of a malaise. It takes both. Someone has to feel hope, get off drugs, i feel like i can take care of family obligations. We look at it is, if you can revitalize a person, thats great and good. If you can help revice lies a community by putting people back into the workforce, thats great business. Thousanthats how we thought of. Dagen what research did you rely on, related to preventing recidivism for opioid add decision that this is the addiction that this is kind of environment that would create the best results. We are focused on the infrastructure side and verily beingal takbeing anil take an e subsidiary, theyre using data. You can treat people based on their own dna and their own situation, thats the meaning of targeted therapies. Everybodys tumor or blood cancer is different. Same thing in the Opioid Crisis. Theres a famous book and movie, beautiful boy, which talked about the chef family and the child was in started drugs at 11 years old. I think marijuana. And went into hard drugs. And only when they found that the underlying reason was for some of the addiction issues was bipolar disorder and depression, were they able to treat that and then make success happen. Dagen i read that book. Its a remarkable kind of situation. So we think a datadriven solution will be the key to success. Nobody knows yet because nobodys been successful really. Maria on real estate, what are you seeing . Weve been fortunate. Our stock is up almost 25 since i saw you in early january. Maria every time i see you its like its up 60 since the last time i saw you. The he demand remains white hot in the centers of innovation. I think if you just think about 10,000 diseases, 500 addressable therapies, were still in the early innings of trying to figure out disease and now we have the prospects of real cures. Maria the growth in tenants, technology, health sciences. And ag tech now. Maria and ag tech. Our three fly wheels sotospeak. Maria great to have you, joel. Backlash from across the world, why Kim Kardashians latest line is getting her into trouble. 2020 vision, 10 democrats are facing off in miami in the first debate of the 2020 election cycle. Tonights candidates include Elizabeth Warren, beto orourke and bill de blasio. Tomorrow we have joe biden, Bernie Sanders and kamala harris. This as Robert Mueller agreed to testify on july 17th. The president took to twitter, reacting to it. Saying president ial harassment. Joining us right now is former pennsylvania governor, ed rendell. Mr. Chairman, good to see you. Thanks so much for joining us. Good morning, maria. Maria what you expecting out of these debates . Well, this debate tonight, just by the luck of the draw, four of the five leading candidates in the polls are in tomorrow nights debates. This is a big opportunity for Elizabeth Warren. Shes been creeping up on Bernie Sanders to sort of get the leadership of the progressive lane and shes going to have the attention focused on her. Shes does well tonight, if she delineates specific proposals, i think shell have a chance to really jump up. For the others, for the beto beo orourkes, for the Amy Klobuchars that this is an opportunity for them to introduce themselves to the American People. People say what chance do they have . Remember, this time in 2012, Rick Santorum was at know percent and he wound up no percent and he wound up winning iowa and almost winning the republican nomination. You cant count anybody out. Hillary. Maria its incrediblee talking about socialism practices and programs and debating them. Dont you think, governor . Are you surprised to see Elizabeth Warren having the success shes had, begin her socialist programs, like, i dont know, confiscation, wealth tax, medicare for all from Bernie Sanders . Do you think one of these guys, the real far left progressives are actually going to be the candidate . No, i dont. I think in the end the majority of democrats are focused on one thing. We want a candidate who can win. I think the problems with sanders and warren is the programs that have good goals but the question is, how do we pay for them . Do they set up what the American People would be scared to hear, socialism. Remember, the two biggest socialism projects we have in the United States are medicare and social security. The two most popular government programs. But still, americans are scared when you use the label. The president is very adept and deflecting attention to his opponents and calling them names that stick. I think that it will be trouble for warren or sanders if they become the nominee, not impossible to win but more easy to trump to attack. Dagen to any of the candidates push back on the socialist ideas from an Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders. You mentioned medicare. I keep saying this. Medicarmedicares hospital insue fund runs out of money in seven years, and only then it will be able to pay out 89cents on the dollar through tax revenue that comes in. They dont talk about that. They want more government. They want a bigger social safety net when the government as exists today is doing a poor job running it. Well, you can debate that point. Medicare has about a 2 administrative overhead. Most private Insurance Companies have 10, 11 overhead. But dagen if the Hospital Insurance fund is going to run out of money in seven years and not one person in washington dc is doing anything about it, thats a problem. Well, we have rural hospitals on the brink of closing until the Affordable Care act passed. That kept rural hospitals and lesser known hospitals alive in the country. These are big issues. Weve got to be able to propose solutions that are affordable. I think thats whats going to be the focus tonight. Can the programs you talk about, can they be implemented, can we afford them, who is going to pay for them. Those are the questions that i think our candidates have to answer. So you get to this question, governor, about whether or not the democrats are looking for a true believer, a candidate who literally tingles they get tingles up their legs, to quote someone we all know, or someone who can just beat the president. I hear different democrats say they want different things. Sounds like youre more practical. Youre saying all we really care about in the end is winning the hell eelection, not about the socialism theyre seeming to hug. Bernie sanders is for medicare for all which would mean no private Insurance Companies. But other candidates like joe biden are for strengthening the Affordable Care act and maybe making medicare available for people between 55 and 65 which would take some of the cost drivers out of the system. The goals are pretty much similar. What democrats 70 of democrats, their First Priority is someone who can stand up to the president and win the election. I think thats the important thing. And thats what people are going to highlight, i think, without any question. Maria what about the battle at the border . Lets talk about standing up there, because the house passed a 4. 5 billion funding bill yesterday to provide food, water and shelter for migrants entering the country at the southern border. The Gopled Senate expected to take up its own version of this legislation this week. All coming as employees at wayfair, you may have seen, theyre planning a walkout after the company declined to end bed sales to border facilities, governor. This bill that the house passed does nothing in terms of stopping the apprehensions, does nothing in terms of reversing those loopholes like the flores agreement and asylum standards. Whats your reaction to all of this . Well, look, we have a very serious shortterm problem. The conditions, particularly children are held in at the border are unconscionable. I think what the democrats dids was give the Administration Resources to have better treatment of children who are kept in isolation. This wasnt a problem under president obama because children within 72 hours were placed with some relatives they had in the United States. So this is a shortterm answer. Its not the longterm answer, maria. The questions that you raised have to be addressed in a more comprehensive way. We have an emergency problem at the border. Maria we are showing video of me at the border and i met all these children, the number of children crossing has been soaring. The question is, are they really with their real parents . Theres this renting of kids Program Going on in guatemala and honduras and hell salvador where women get money to give their kids to other people so they can come over the border and look like families. Most of them have to have relatives in the United States to be placed. Maria i dont know that to be true, governor. I dont know that to be true, governor, actually. These kids are being rented. Theyre being rented to come over. These kids are put into incredible situations so isnt it more of an important issue to tackle these people coming over the border, to change those loopholes . The whole immigration process should be looked at. This is not the time to do it. When we have kids Walking Around without diapers, without basic sanitary conditions, in places that no human being should be. Maria thats why the Border Patrol officers, govern november, the Border Patrol officers are acting like nurses. Theyre taking kids to the hospital, helping kids with colds and all this stuff. Theyre having to leave their post at the border to go do other stuff to take care of these kids because theyre sick because theyve been hitchhiking, on their feet for four months, walking toward the border. Shouldnt we deal with that in terms of people coming to the border . Do you not see that as a crisis, these asylum standards and flores agreement enabling people to come with kids. The whole asig asylum process to be looked at. We have humanitarian crisis those be dealt with and dealt with swiftly. We cant do it in two weeks. I think the president s idea of coming up with a solution in two weeks is unre unrealistic. We should solve if immediate problem right now. Maria how come nothing has been done yet . Its pretty incredible the two sides cant get together to fix this. I agree. Maria this is not a new problem in the last two weeks. Gridlock is embarrassing. Whats going on is worse. Its an International Disgrace that the United States is keeping people in these conditions. Theres no question about that. I mean maria what conditions . I was at the border. I spoke with the Border Patrol people and they said theyre questioning what were talking about when we say these conditions. What conditions . I mean, the president asked the democrats for money for more beds. They said we dont want anymore beds. Theres no more beds to happen. Thats what the democrat nancy pelosi said were not giving any money for anymore beds. Thats why detention facilities are overwhelmed. Detensio detention facilitiee overwhelmed because we have all these people trying to get into the country. I think the policies of administration have perpetrated that. When president Obama Left Office there were less people trying to get into the United States than any time in recent history. Now all of a sudden its soared because of the idea that were going to close the borders and theres going to be no chance to get in. Look, the people who come under false pretenses should be booted out, booted out as quickly as possible. The people who come here legitimately seeking asylum have the right under our constitution to have their cases heard. So we need more judges. We need faster processes. Those things are all maria that all requires money. Theyre running out of money this month. Governor, great to have you here. We love having you all the time. Ed rendell, good to see you. Thank you. Ill be speaking with President Trump that is in the 8 00 a. M. Hour. He will weigh in on all of this. Dont miss my important interview coming up with the president at 8 00. Stay with us. S. Joining us now, the sue. Hillarycyber guy,kurt knutsson. Alphabet under fire here,t only from these two groups but senator ed markey firing off a letter to the ftc mainly getting a head start on what is expected to be results of an investigation on youtube that they are indeed capturing data for children that are 13 or under 13 years which is what copa, the childrens online protection privacy act says they cannot do. These advocacy groups are saying that they hold now 25 million records of children inside the google database, youtube and google pair companies and children companies of alphabet. And at this point, well, the ftc can either ignore the letter, this guidance from these groups or could use it as perhaps a road map of what they might actually do against the big video giant youtube. Maria so i wonder if theyre going to respond, what the response has been. Dagen, what do you think about this . You talked about this a lot in terms of the content on youtube. Dagen i think that theres a great deal more that all of these social Media Companies and these online content providers can do to police the bad actors and not get in the way of free speech. During the rise of isis you had the head of youtube bragging about how they were policing the content and they were basically videos of isis murdering people all over youtube. If you can police, say, child pornography which theyre required to do by law, they can certainly police some of the really hideous content. Maria you would think so, kurt. What are they saying about it . Well, what theyre saying is theyre hiding actually behind a lot of their terms of use language legally which says hey, were not here for kids. This platform is not for kids. However, if you look at particular channels of information on youtube, such as toy review blogs that are up to 18 million followers inside of youtube on some of these channels, how is that not for kids . So at this point i think theyve got a tough argument and theyve got the court of Public Opinion coming up against them and the ftc about to do something about it. Maria thank you. Well be watching. Still ahead, my exclusive interview with President Trump moments from now, next hour, mornings with maria, hell join us at 81 00 a 5 this morning. 8 15. This morning. Look i think it is really, it is awesome first of all, that it is such an open system we have so many candidates i am actually for that, i want machines are to kind of get more interested in politics because, what i do, and look i also think it is good for the American People to see what the democrats are all about. I am hoping i am stwaul praying this is country doesnt want to be socialist country i dont think conflict of america can coincide with conflict of socialism i think a positive impact on my side. Dagen i would love pushback on some ideas, i think, that joe biden clearly is in the lead, because they or he is at this point viewed as best person to take on President Trump, again, it is can you fight off the incumbent president that is the reason that he is in the lead, but to push back on ideas that somehow we are going to confiscate peoples wealth going to punish success in this country Elizabeth Warren, that there iss zero personal responsibles you didnt sane up for that college alone you are taking advantage of i wont push back on that i dont know if you will get it in initial stages. Maria i think with the governor said when was wrong that i actually think candidates do have cookie cutter positions they believe they have to take positions even if they dont believe it because what is where the democratic christians is in primary season hard left big government, they want the constitutional overridden that is what candidates are going to say. Maria we will be watching, of course, the analysis tomorrow, then debate tomorrow night joining the conversation speaking conclusively with President Trump this hour, he will weigh in on the debates tonight, trade, g20 the summit, of course, the 2020 race dont miss interview coming up with the president , that is our top story this hour President Trump set to leave for g20 summit in japan, later today, he is expected is to meet with chinese president xi jinping on saturday. To discuss all things trade, i spokes exclusively last hour with commerce secretary will bus ross about what he expects to see here is what he said. Like being what would be a victory for the u. S. Coming out of g20 meeting with with president xi jinping . Well, were not looking for a victory. What were looking for sensible deal that addresses legitimate issues that we have this is not a thing one country is going to be pinned to the floor knocked out there are inappropriately activities under way by chinese must cease if they do we make redressing of the trade imbalance that is a reasonable deal for both parties. Maria joining me right now former Senior Adviser to president george w. Bush Fox News Contributor karl rove thanks for joining us. My former white house colleague on your panel dont tell any stories, please. I have stories ive got plenty of good stories. Maria we want them. Does anything meaningful come out of this meeting with xi jinping at g20 what is your take on this . Well i think we need to temper expectations, steve mnuchin, said they were 90 , on a deal, with 90 way towards a deal. Maria that was before chinese reneged 90 there before chinese reneged in april. He made comment last 24 hours. I know he has. But look, my sense is, is that this is a process one more step on that process, i doubt that were coming to conclusion at this summit hopefully cant to narrow a daifrnz maybe find a waip fort president not apply next round of tariffs, and for chinese to make some concession that indicates that they are forward, excuse me Forward Movement that we need to temper expectations. Lets get karl right to whole 2020 all democrats on the stage tonight if you look at fundamentals for the the incumbent president strong economy, a Consumer Confidence despite hiccup recently, in right track months in, all seem positive, if you look at republicans conservatives their level for president seems to have come together historically high numbers, and he has the constituencies blue collar voters, et cetera, he seems to do well with why do you still see that president ial approval gives democrats hope they might win . Well, i think you are right that if you take a look at the economy, itself, put all impossibility of candidates aside all economic metric modeled show big win for president yet stuck with somewhere 41, 42, 43, 44 approval 51 to 54 people say definitely not going to vote for him strongly favored outnumbered almost two to one strongly unfavorable on president a tough row to hoe i think larger who do democrats nominate can president do three things occasionally makes a mention weve got to work in this together, bipartisanship he did in state of the union i think that was deliberate because people want to know that the president is open to that, second, does he come up with some new things and hes doing that talked about infrastructure, in state of the union talking about initiatives, transparency hospital pricing, surprise billing that hospitals he has to disqualify democratic nominee whoever he or she ends up being i dont think he can wait until that process in will they choose that candidate i dont think he thinks that either why, he made the comment in the state of the union about socialism, but theyve got to be deliberate take part not individuals but the ideas that are inforge democratic debate take apart swlid that person is finally selected. Dagen it is Dagen Mcdowell give me a tagline on that i was talk about to go malt about that if in commercial break how do you message that he socialism is not what america is built on. Well, it you have to do three things when you talk about any issue in my opinion any issues lets take medicare for all you need to say this is bad policy, it takes away your right to your private insurance policy, it takes all those people paid into medicare and dumps them in to a new government program, in essence taking money they paid in over years, and dumping same program as everybody else moons going to lead to lines in waiting if you want to see a doctor you have to have a procedure we are going to be like canada Great Britain single he payer Companies Government in charge going to take a while cost money bad policy, but then you got to talk about the values, this is not in keeping with values of our country, we put the individual first we say the individual and familiate to be in charge of lives not government not some zant bureaucratic in Washington Health care out to be between family and dr. Without government he intervening saying what you can have when you can have it how much it is going to cost he finally talk about what we are for president is doing with efforts on transparency derision others, but weve got to have a conservative positive answers cause American People to say they are right a bad idea not keeping with our values those guys and gallons have a better idea. Karl how do you get. That to resonate with Younger Voters when they hear that there student alones are going to disappear get excited about ideas of he socialism. First of all, the remember a lot of young people dont go to college, so the idea is you decided not to go to college or you went to college didnt borrow money you worked through school now money is going to be taken out of youre pocket in form of taxes in order to pay debt somebody else ran up those some of those people may be making sure under Bernie Sanders plan,it doesnt matter how much you are making. You can be making 100,000 dollars a year right out of school, and your debate t wiped out there will never be another useful Student Loan Program the government by repudiating debt going to say go to college, run up a big bill, somehow or another this is going to be repudiated yaits you are not responsible for it not where we want to go as country not fundamentally fair not fundamentally right fundamentally very bad for the economy, and for the and rule of law in america if we do that. I think there are a lot of young people would get that. Quick before you go your reaction to the house 4 1 2 billion dollars for aide to migrants. Good first stp i want to correct something governor rendell said i listened with interest to what he said he said look we these problems didnt emerge under president obama, the reason it did not emerge under president obama departed 2. 9 Million People president bush oversaw deportation of two million bill clinton oversaw deportation 870,000 President Trump is facing a fundamentally different situation than any of them did flow under president bush president obama same men many from mexico now socalled quote family units, where the rules are entirely different and the if you set up something to take care of single men who come up from, guatemala, nick raggo he will sal nicaragua. El salvador a fundamentally different logistics problem volume unbelievable. Have stories about matt slap available later. Next book. Stay with us i will be talking about President Trump before he leaves for g20 summit in japan this hour, join us for that coming up, then we are awaitingmas durable goods orders due out 15 minutes we will bring that number as soon as it hits the tape see it has impact on markets right now looking at rally under way stay with us. An agreement that created the stock exchange. On a scale of one to five . One to five . Its more like five million. Theres everything from happy to extremely happy. Theres also angry. Im really angry clive actually, really angry. Thank you. But what if your business could understand what your customers are feeling. And then do something about it. Turn problems into opportunities. Thanks drone. Customers into fanatics change the whole experience. Alright who wants to go again . I do i do i have a really good feeling about this. Today expected to meet with chinese president xi jinping, on silence sidelines Robert Mueller agreed to testify for two house committees july 17 joining sfoe me by phone in fox business inclusive president donald j. Trump mr. President thank you so much for joining me. Good morning, maria. I want to get to china markets waiting, on every word that happens during meeting first let me get your reaction to mueller testifying after that s p. On the phone well my reaction is that it never ends we had no obstruction, we had no collusion we had a report that was you know considering 18 people that hated donald trump, mueller obviously, was not a trump fan. Not a trump person. How people were picked is by itself incredible, and, yet the the reporters no includings no obstruction ruled on by great attorney general, great doing a fantastic job and many other ways, too. But he ruled on it read it saw it and ruled on the report and based on the report there was no obstruction whatsoever. And, of course, hard to have obstruction when you have no crime you can add that he didnt rule on that basis he just ruled on it that there is no obstruction, but you had no event, i didnt have crime you had crime on the other side if you want to mother the truth maria republicans on academies want to steadil ask about sthooel dossier when he first knew there was no collusion why he did not look at connections between Hillary Clinton having paid for that dossier which as we know was nonsense. On the phone look at people spying on my campaign very simple before i used to say it could have been people spying on my campaign, it otherwise probably the first time in history, it happened they got caught. And they are running around going wild trying to do everything they can but they spied on my campaign simple as that so illegal probably biggest political scandal in history caught doing it a reversal of sorts, but it is it is a horrible thing that happened. Maria how far up the chain. The republicans have been totally unified get it fully Lindsey Graham is, beside himself he looks at things that happened he cant even believe what happened he looks at he cannot believe it. Maria we have reported on that three years you know that mr. President we knew as well on this program. I know. Maria i was very vocal. You knew it before anybody. Maria thank you. I think you knew before anybody i watch your program in fact we set markets we have to be extremely careful looking at that market up 113 we have to be careful that ticker doesnt go up and down too much with this call want to be even very evenkeeled. Maria let me ask you about that markets are higher optimism with xi jinping what do you want to see what do you want chinese to do, in terms of a trade deal . Well we had a deal with them, and it was very close just finishing you know my whole life is deals i know what we had when we dont like mexico made deal with mexico they have been so helpful at the border, for 45 years been trying to make a deal with mexico i made a deal with mexico. A great deal but a great deal for mexico too they are cleaning out the whole system, because they have very strong Immigration Laws using their military using their people, and to have you see flows of really stopped put 6,000 people on southern border now moved 16,000 people to our border, they werent even really didnt have to do that they do have to do a good job otherwise im going to a tariff system, but they didnt have to do that, and they did. And you have to see the numbers when numbersstart coming out, reflective what their doing the democrats doing much more to hurt us, killing us, on the border because they are not doing Little Things so easy asylum we could fix so easy, we could fix loopholes easy they dont want to do it they think oeb borders is a good thing crime trafficking, drugs pour into the country. Maria you said Mexican Government doing more than democrats to help they are doing far more than democrats but with we had a deal, and it was a deal that was was really close to being done it was almost done. Maria mnuchin said you were 90 there are you 90 there no i or 90 before they reneged. Look they know what we have to have if we dont have intellectual theft property protections opening of china your china is not open we are open but china is not open. So if we dont have opening of china if we dont have the things that we negotiated and maybe even more than that look. Right now we are getting 25 on 250 billion dollars worth of goods nobody heard of such a thing, it is massive amounts of money, and dont play dont let anyone tell you that were paying we are not paying china is paying for china is devalued currency in order to pay for it devalueed, important iing money into Companies Generally chinese owned indirectly or directly we are not paying anything for it our consumer saying china is different than other countries some other countries that could happen, but i view tariffs differently than a lot of people since tariffs on market has gone through the roof if you know what i am talking about you remember telling about tariff, since tariffs i made deal with mexico only because of tariffs, trying 45 years, to make a deal including me for the last year, and i could get. Where when tariffs i was ready to put them in supposed to start monday we made the deal one day. That they couldnt make people couldnt make in 45 years now when tariffs go on, we in china, so we are taking in billions and billions of dollars, we never took in 10 cents, now you have another 325 billion dollars that i havent taxed yet it is ripe for taxing for putting tariffs on, this never happened to china what is happening people are moving out of china, companies are moving out of china, by the way, some are coming back to the United States because they dont want to pay tariff, et cetera, et cetera. Am i hispanic now absolutely i would do additional tariffs substantially additional tariffs if that doesnt work if we dont make a deem when you say were going to make a he will do a it is possible we are going to make a deal but i am very happy where we in our taking in a fortune, frankly, not a good thing for china but a very good thing for us, a lot of companies are moving. Maria if you were to put additional tariff on remaining 325 billion dollars, a lot of people feel that would be a game changer gamechanger for the economy would it be a major disruption, in terms of of the supply chain, so do you think that they can do anything you can hear anything from this meeting on saturday, with xi jinping, that would push you to put that aside . And not put that remaining 325 billion in products on tariffs . No, it is possible, it is absolutely possible. Maria what we have to get a good deal, look. They have taken advantage of us as you can, for so long, they are so far ahead, on average this country is losing more than 500 billion dollars a year, with china we rebuilt china they have done a great job they are smart they are genius they are great but you know what . They are so far ahead we have rebuilt we have given them 500 billion dollars a year for many years, and weve rebuilt china. Without that money you dont have same china, i mean what they have done to us primarily us, they have done well with europe done well but what the money they make with us, if i do what i am doing we he totally cut that off totally chut off no more no more 500 billion dollars will go down to trickle to a trickle. Maria what makes you think chinese are going to do anything different than they did when they reneged right. Back in april when you said mnuchin said that you guys were 90 there close to a deal they reneged why would they go back on it now . Why do you think they are going to see the intellectual property theft differently today than the at a they reneged. Okay. We went in we thought we had a deal went in, and then they said were not going to give you certain things we agreed on, i said that is okay, i tell my people leave the office, right now, dont talk about anymore no more talking we are putting on a 25 tariff on a full 250 billion dollars. Maria wow. We did it the following day, and that is it that was last conversation we had, now weve had conversations over the last few days, they are negotiating, but, you know, my attitude is i am very happy either way the tariffs are there is no way you are going to beat tariffs there is no way there is no way you can make that kind of money. What it does really helps us in so many other ways, it helps us in in ways that nobody even wants to talk about. I dont want to talk about them very, very powerful what we have right now. Lets say you p you the that money on 325 billion, of products in china, will that affect the election in 2020 mr. President . I mean if you see that that impact the economy, because i see chinese economy has weakened quite a bit as a result of this administration, your actions. To put it mildly, by the way, chinese but they want to make a deal they want the make a deal more than do i let me put it that way they want the make a deal. Maria you think this would be to make it part of their law they cannot steel scomul property from america . Look we have lost, billions and billions and trillions of dollars with china, right . We are now taking in billions and billions of dollars i have only done phase one, phase one is 25 of 250 billion, i havent done phase two yet, phase two he doesnt have to be 25 could be 10 people can absolutely handle, but our people are not going to paper for that either, really to pay for that either, a misnomer devalue offed like a pingpong ball played the devaluation card for years people dont call them on it we are looking calling them on it first time what is difference you call them on it . Big deal i want a Good Relationship with china, i have a great personal relationship with president xi, a friend of mine i think he is fantastic. I think he thinks the the same of me but who knows . Okay. Maria security risks you talk about huawei, and the National Security risk they represent how do you get arms around that . That adds to the complexity. Because they can take a chip the size of a a pin head put in a phone nobody can see it they can to be miraculous issue miracles with that amazing 5g plays into it many things play into it, the credible like me if you love deals the ultimately sort of like, a lot of fun, but i am doing i am having fun for a different reason we are doing great things for the American People look at if we sort of carry out june for a few days the way it is the best june in 80 years the best june in stock market weve had, in 80 years tariffs are on, our tariffs steeled 25 aluminum all aluminum into country 10 with all that we gave canada, mexico a break, by the way, big beak we didnt have to a lot of people in Congress Said pleas, pleas give them a break why they said that who knows i decided to go along. I want to talk about economy. Some people in Congress Really like me i decided to go the fact is look what happened with steel we tariffed it steal Companies Going through roof doing great, doing great. Ceosing on other day confirmed that, with us as well said that it has been night and day, but lemonis before you get to the economy,let me wrap up here on china, because in the meantime, while you are dealing with chinese, you are also trying to do deals with some of the surrounding countries secretary pompeo in india meeting his counter parts there you have spoken to handful southeast nations tell me what you want to see in terms of japan, india, Southeast Asia terribles bilateral deals however you see it. Let me start off with a jern statement almost all countries in this world, take tremendous advantage of the United States. It is unbelievable. Okay . I got here and ununbelievable. Even japan treaty a treaty with japan if japan are issed back to we will fight world war iii, protect them fight with our lives with our treasure fight at all comforts right but if we are attacked japan doesnt have to help us can watch on Sony Television the attack, there is a little difference, okay . All these things that is military thing because there are many as bad as economic things are the military you take nato, we pay for close to one hundred percent of nato people dont know that we pay close to germany doesnt pay what they are supposed to pay out of 28 countries, seven are paid up, i got them to pay last year a hundredbilliondollar more secretary stoltenberg will tell you biggest fan in whole world bigger than you secretary stoltenberg i will tell you says if it wasnt for President Trump we wont have nato numbers coming down over 15 years so much, i got them like a rocket ship because they said folks, either you pay up, or you know, you can forget it, why would we do that if not they are taking advantage, but we still have a lot of countries germany contain tremendous advantage how about about this germany pays all about russia, right . Tech and europe against rush most of it so germany is paying russia billions and billions of dollars for energy, okay. So they are giving russia billions of dollars yet we are supposed to protect germany and germany is delinquent okay . They dont pay nato what they are supposed to pay yet their paying to i dont call russia an enemy but a potential enemy they are paying to a potential enemy that were supposed to protect them from, billions of dollars so they are giving money to the enemy we are supposed to protect them on top of that they dont pay their way delinquent paying one percent instead of 2 . Are you working on a deal with europe is europe going to be next target after you are done with china . Where is the next deal being done. Europe is treats us worse than china europe is you know look i come from europe, we come you come from europe, okay you are one of yeah. You are of the european nations european nations were set up in order to take advantage of United States, they have, you know very smartly have draghi we should have draghi instead of fed person draghi as you know, last week he said lower Interest Rates we are going to stimulate the economy going to put money into the economy going to force money into the economy, because europe is doing you know okay but not doing great, with us we have a fed that keeps raising Interest Rates, i mean you explain that one. And this was not what i thought we had. Maria some people would say, look, if things are so great in the u. S. , and economy is doing as well as it is, hey we are at 51year low unemployment, 3. 1 growth first quarter, why do we need distributes to go lower why a cut in rates if things going so well. One thing we have a lot of debt, i want to get it out i want to pay it off. We have a lot of debt but what we really have is stay even with these people these people are devaluing currency, because they are not doing well against us they did he val we cant we are no longer in a levelPlaying Field when they stimulate their economy, and we have we have a tightening we have quantitative tightening doing 50 billion dollars a month taken it out successing like from a vacuum cleaner a lot of people did not know now 25 billion dollars a month a lot of money a lot of money not only are we not only are we raising ive had nine Interest Rate hikes, obama had nothing he had cheap money, show try to seal beach far better than obamas economy obamas economy ready to crash you dont do anything rules regulations ive gotten rid of he have great rules and regulations but reasonable, obama under obama you couldnt do anything, you couldnt do a keystone pipeline, you couldnt do anything. The regulations were right but now, now, we are really rocking and rolling my problem is that has reduced currency in order to take advantage of the United States we have a man that doesnt he doesnt do anything for us. Were sitting there we stay he should have he should have never raised the rates to the level that he raised them. Maria he is not going to get pushed around he basically said that i am not getting pushed around. Approve how tough he is he is not going to get pushed around a guy never heard of him before now, i made him, and he wants to show how tough he is let him show how tough he is he is he is not doing a good job okay. Maria i think media got it wrong when they said you said you wanted to did he moet them i know you didnt say that you were answering a question you are suggesting now. I have to right to did he moet him the right to fire him. But i have. Is that what you are thinking about doing are you considering that right now. I never suggested i was going to do that, do i have the right to do it, but let me just tell you, he has to lower Interest Rates for us to compete with china, when theyre doing is pouring he money into the economy, and they are lowering rates, what europe just did with draghi, frankly he did a great move but doing a lot of good moves what europe did with draghi, is forcing money in, were doing the opposite taking money out, and we are raising Interest Rates, it is insane, never rates to the extent that he did, if he would have raised them half just half, and if he would not have done the quantitative tightening our market would have been up another 10,000 points i will tell you gdp would have been up another point or two points we potentially could have hit five. Wow, mr. President are you now working on the what is your plan b, sm should a deal with china not materialize are you doing work with india southeast nation. Let me say about china plan b with china to take in billions and billions of dollars a month less and less business with them we can just sort of say hey whatever business, when you are losing 500 billion dollars a year, if you didnt do business with them it wouldnt be worst thing in the world when you are loser of 500 billion when making 500 billion worst thing that can happen to you you stop doing business, it would be it would be really bad for china, i dont want to be bad for china i like him i like china i think china is incredible nation. Says look it was mistake to get out of tpp we see front and center because china is so difficult are you working on a plan that could look a little like tpp with other. Tpp was a disaster okay. You ready. Tpp was going to be a disaster would have been nato it would have been nafta on steroids, tpp would have been a total disaster besides that we make individual you deals with many of those countries. Maria s you are going to do that . Look, what you do with when you have that many countries in a deal what you do you are we are big bank, banker was set up for us, i mean set up really to take advantage of us, that was like european nations, tpp like european nations that was set up to take advantage on trade of the United States if i didnt end that we would have no car business left car business would be totally gone was going keyboard a successing machine like you have never seen before it was a disaster tpp would have been as catastrophe look how well we are doing, we have 12 factors we have plants, built in the United States Car Companies are coming in from japan other countries, mercedesbenz. Now you have Companies Pulling production out of china going to vietnam, is this something that you think American Company should consider . Right, well a lot of companies are moving to vietnam, but vietnam takes advantageous of us worse than china so there is a very interesting situation going on there, but that is true, Many Companies are billing their things out, look, some companies are pulling out and doing what they really should be doing coming back to america coming back to yu consolidates. Do you want to tariff vietnam . Well we are in discussions with vietnam, vietnam is almost a single worst much smaller than china much. But it is almost a single worst abuescher of everybody they have gotten coal from West Virginia makes me happy i love West Virginia i love the coal miners. A huge service to Coal Companies industry for sure. You mentioned. Six months if crooked hillary got elected would not have lasted six months it was gone, now, it is a vibrant industry again doing well, we sell a lot of, West Virginia, states we have great coal sell a cot of coal to vietnam vietnam is abuescher almost all nations are abusers. Maria you cautioned it piggy bank playing out. We are the piggy bank we wont be the piggy bank forever because frankly you ne you can only give so much, i cant believe how several of these deals were made they were so bad, and nato is no different i am not saying nato is a bad thing i am saying it is unfair, that europe when kills us with europe we lose approximately 180 billion 181 billion dollars. Not giving up the chicken tax. No chicken tax is a great tax it is a 25 tax on small trucks, south korea was expiring south korea was so happy i renegotiated the deal kept it, it is hottest market in Automobile Industry if you look at the only thing they make money on is small trucks, because of the chicken tax because we have 25 tariff, on small trucks. Right if he i renegotiated deal with south korea because they were so happy because they were going to get rid of chicken tax until i came along, if i wasnt here nobody else would have even know what chicken. If yooirpz come to you say mr. President we dont want any no tariffs on both sides you are not going to agree to that not going to give up the chicken tax. Europeans have taken advantage of us, i am serious worse trade barriers than china dont take our product we take their product. What you are going to do with europe. Europe is treated us very badly i will tell you one thing i have when i came in i said to jeanclaude fantastic gentlemen about fact of businessperson a woman in europe considered to take jeanclaudes point some point he is retiring hates United States perhaps worse than any person i have met what she does to our country, she is suing all our companies, you know, look we should be suing Google Facebook perhaps we will, you see apple suing apple for billions of dollars, suing everybody. They make it very almost impossible to do twoway business what happened i said folks they are worst than china except smaller, smaller chan china but worse than china barriers they put up for farmers, are because they want to protect their farmers, they have a lot of farmers you know farmers very well drive down country road you see beautiful farms all over the place, i dont even say they are wrong but it is not fair to us, they send in mercedesbenz, they send in bmw pay virtually no tax take nothing we give them so onesided they make approximately 180 billion dollars a year for years. Maria i got to get to technology, it also border crisis mr. President you brought up nafta for a second i got to ask you how are you going to get nancy pelosi to bring your usmca to the floor most people will say if it comes to the floor, it will pass. Is she moving on it . I think it will pass i think we have tremendous democrat sport she has to bring it to the floor i think she will look it is actually a bipartisan bill the democrats like it unions like it, i can tell you the farmers love it, the farmers are just in love with it. This year . And i am talking about American Farmers like it more than other farmers American Farmers love it we were being taken balanced by canada nobody knows that ocanada beautiful chong they charge 300 tariff for a little thing called Agricultural Products into canada 300 tariff nobody knew that. People did not know that you mentioned Technology Companies how concerned are you that Technology Companies are sensoring conservatives going to do this right up to 2020 election . A well they are doing it to me on twitter, i mean, what they did to me on twitter is incredible. You know, i have millions and Million Dollars of followers i will tell you think make it very hard for people to join me in twitter, and they make it very much harder for me to get out the message it is incredible, yeah. What are you going to do about it, companies have enormous amount of power if they could even stop the president of the free world, in terms of getting message out. What am i going to do about it . Northeast people are all democrats. It is totally biased to democrats if i announced tomorrow i am going to become a nice liberal democrat i would pick up 5 times more followers i was picking up, a hundred thousand followers every few days all of a sudden i am hotter now than a number of months ago but number of months ago all of a sudden it stopped, and now i pick up a lot but i dont pick up nearly what i did. Maria devin nunes is on twitter right now. Who is suing twitter. Maria congressman nunes. That is great i think he is great a lot of ways he is great probably do well he is right about it, twitter is just terrible what they do, they dont let you get word i have had so many people come to me, sir, i cant join you on twitter i see what is happening, one hundred percent. Would you rather see competition or do you want legislation coming down to actually you may need legislation, to create competition, look. It is amazing that i won the election, because you saw what happened yesterday with google totally biased talk about russia because they had bloggers, by the way, those bloggers some of them going both says for clinton and for trump. Maria they dont want what happened in 2016 to happy to 2020 dont want it to happen again right is that what you are referring to let me tell you rig to rithe election that is what we should be looking at not phony witch hunt when has proven zero not even a phone call, this is the greatest political in history i dont have to talk to you about it you picked it up so early you had it so early. Maria i did told my viewers. That is why i am taking to you early in the morning as opposed to somebody else to be honest. What Technology Companies are doing what they did to you is that legal are they breaking the law mr. President. I dont know but i tell you what they should be sued because what is happening with with the bias, now you see with it that executive yesterday from google the hatred for the republicans, not even like ge. E lien democrat the hatred i heard that during election it is hard that i won they were swamping us with negative stuff, think of it. She was spending hundreds of millions of dollars spending so much money, because she she spent more than twice what i did never got credit for that i won election i spent half the money my father taught me maria if you spend less and win that is a good thing. The border cries what about the demonstrates are you going to watch the debate tonight i know you are on a plane on your way to japan. Everyone said i will be tweeting i will actually be in a plane seem very boring but i am going to watch it because i have to that is part of my police it is part of my police do i want to watch it do i want to watch these people very unexciting group of people. Is this election being set up capitalism versus socialism a lot of programs, for all biden is a lost soul doesnt know where he is i dont think, he is he is changing his views remain rapidly getting money on democratic said to right in the lead, he is seen most drt. Maria he didnt get anything compared to what we did my speech last week took in i think 28 Million Dollars. Okay. That is if you call that a poll you know how well were of doing. Economy. He does seem different. The economy great job as karl rove so many others come on say election is about future not about the past yes, you are running on Record Record has been strong the economy but what are you going to do to keep this going what do you have in your bag in terms of the economy. Let me tell you, okay i have done great on the economy i have done great with military, i have done great with i have done great with everything. Here is what is unfair ive had 247 a phony witch hunt. Maria right. Disgusting phony witch hunt nobody else would have taken a normal person couldnt have even taken it i have been attacked for two and a half years, with a phony dishonest crooked group of people intelligence agencies beyond doing nothing but attacking your president. I know that i know that mr. President. And i went through that now i hear mo is going to go how many times going through this five times now. Republicans are going to ask about the steele dossier the fact in a number two president. Ask, i have had great republican sport i have to say that Mitch Mcconnell has been great, you know devin you mentioned devin the guys in the house, you look at. Maria skoo john jordan, and, andy biggest the andy biggs, great republican sport i will say that from the day i came into office, they hit me with a phony everyone knows phony the shoe is turning the reason fighting so hard they think it is going to be he revealed real stuff coming down. You think there is you accountability then so you think there is going to be accountability. I think so, yeah i think we have an attorney general, who is a very strong person, a very fair person, and i do believe that, i really do. Maria extraordinary thing that had to happen with informants going at your Campaign People and obviously, the fine your take on. You know what i used to say we will find out, they spied on my campaign, and when you look at somebody saying, listen she is going to win but if she o doesnt we have insurance policy you know what insurance policy is a insurance policy to get him out of office these are sick people two lovers the two pathetic o lovers two lovebirds sung like nobody ever sung strzok and page wrought everything down weve got all text. Wait till you see the rest, Robert Mueller, they worked for him, and two lovers were together they had texts backandforth email backandforth you know why . William barr terminated illegally he terment taefrmentd all stuff between strzok and page some you have never scene Robert Mueller terminated their text messages, together, he would he terminated them they are gone. And that is illegal. He that is a crime. How come not discussed where that is in courts. The republicans know to it me he one of the most egregious things can you imagine how stupid they are what they said stupid lovers trying to show what a big man he is making statements, and she is back to him o yes darling yes darling, how stupidest they were i saw this a love serenade going on okay. Maria wow. Obvious what theshl planning we have seen text. You gave gramm. His Approval Rating 51 i think i am 51, but think of it, it is incredible that i am at 51 it is inevitable i am leading two affidavit a half years i have had phone charges and stuff thrown at me, i had things, that i love russia, i want to get along with russia i love the United States, i had the worst things said about me that i am a spy. Because media went along with it, almost half the country Still Believes that there is collusion that is how significant it was because the media just you know relayed what your enemies were saying. The media is crooked much media is dishonesty stonecold crooked i blame media more than i blame democrats the democrats, they laugh they go in when when schiff and when nadler go into back room to talk they are laughing they know nothing about the deal. They want to take it down. Jerry nadler said he wants to take you down. Maria it is a con job, they go to a back room, where they talk. You know the democrats. They laugh, they are getting away with. Yesterday house passed 4 1 2billiondollar dill humanitarian aide at border, then youve got senator Elizabeth Warren saying she wants to the decriminalize border crossings i went to border a whole show there we saw children the position children are put in disgusting what is reaction to 4 1 2billiondollar aide bill. I am not happy with it because there is no money for protection. It is like were running hospitals over there now people are coming up, what people dont understand, is you have separation. Separation is a terrible thing of the families. And i said well i am going to put people together, but it is going to i mean more people coming up, but it has from that standpoint. And we have done a great job you know they will pick up one little site we have done much better job than obama, obama built all those cells those cell were built by obama administration. O administration put in cages right. He put in all cages i remember for a while, they had fun with that they had me three days, and somebody said well they were built in 2014 by president obama immediately it stopped no apologies immediately it stopped. Youve got loopholes, the if i had loopholes taken care of asylum tape over would you have zero problem at border without mexico right now you are going to see numbers drop because mexico has been really strong. Really. You are going to see numbers drop, but we dont need anybody, if they if democrats would get rid of loopholes they are called loopholes for a reason they are loopholes to come into the country if democrats would get rid of loopholes fix asylum would take an hour we could sit there make a deal. At the refuse to do it two reasons one they want open borde just a minutely want open borders. 649 people of crimes cream emcommitted crimes in the United States, many. They say they are families maria you explain it to me i cant understand it, okay, they want those people to come into the United States. So i said must be politics, they must think that having a big open border have hundreds of thousand dollars of people flowing into the United States, is a good thing for our country. It is ruinous to our country. What is the cost of that there is a cost. Tremendously expensive, because now you are dealing with schools you are dealing with medical you are dealing with everything, look at california, what they are doing, what they are doing is incredible they are inviting everybody to come in people heading to california, california cant pay bills already, with highest in new york Governor Cuomo wants illegals to have drivers licenses. People are leaving new york because the taxes are too high, okay . They want to take care of their million expense take care of how about schooling, pretty scene sending them to private schools. Maria how are you going to deal with this mr. President they are not dealing with loopholes. I want strong laws on the border we are building a wall the wall is being built, very rapidly, by the way, weve 400 miles of wall, despite the fact that i have five lawsuits, we just won one last week you probably saw that. Maria umhmm yeah. In d. C. Very is bying one would have stopped wall actually we got total okay from judge shocking to people when you get obama judge you get a loss. Maria how are you going to get money to continue building the wall and changing this didnt happen to be object judge happened to be a judge appointed by trump you know i have judges now, i have 145 judges that within another couple months all 145 will be sitting judges, federal judges we have two Supreme Court judges, tremendous impact when i came in, president obama had hundreds of judges that he was not able to place, incredible like a gift. We have 145 judges, we have two Supreme Court judges, and lot of people think that is going to be a big part of the legacy but it is very important. Maria do you think you are going to be animation another Supreme Court justice under your watch. I dont want to say i want everybody to life a long Beautiful Life be extremely healthy because if i said yes to that answer you know what would happen. Maria i understand mr. President i understand. It is a heartless person i hope everybody lives a long happy life. Let me move to iran this seriously seems like this is getting deeper and deeper and the president of iran, rouhani, says the white house is quote, mentally retarded. Your reaction . Well, i dont think their leadership is smart. I dont think they have smart leadership at all. Look whats happened to iran. Irans going down the tubes. People cant eat, they are rioting all over their streets, their inflation rate is 60 or Something Like that, maybe even worse, actually. Maria are we going to have a war with iran, mr. President . Well, i hope we dont but were in a very strong position if something should happen, were in a very strong position. It wouldnt last very long, i can tell you that. It would not last very long. And im not talking boots on the ground. Im not talking were going to send a million soldiers. Im just saying if something would happen, wouldnt last very long. Maria yeah. Ive been very nice to them. I decided not to do they shot down our drone, i decided not to kill a lot of iranians. I know a lot of iranians. I like iranians so much. That plays into the decision, too. Theyre human beings. Theyre people. I didnt want to kill 150 people when they shot down an unmanned drone so i didnt do that. Maria sanctions at this point, the sanctions are enough, in your view, to fight back on irans provocations . Well, the sanctions are very biting. When i took over, iran was a terror. We had 18 14 to 18 sites of confliction. Iran was behind every one of them. They want to take over the middle east and were going to make it really very bad. They were going to take over maria we know nothing compares they would have taken over the entire middle east. Maria nothing compares to the american military. We know that. But mr. President , as we speak, china is trying to replace the u. S. As the military superpower. You know this better than anybody. They are pushing out submarines, they are putting they are putting military bases across the world. So what about that . They have been doing it for years. They have been doing a plane a day well, with tariffs, you dont do that anymore, maria. If i did tariffs, if i did 25 on 600 billion, thats the end of their building islands in the south china sea. Maria but is it the end of a 4 economy for the u. S. . I think well do just great. Hey, look, right now, were losing 500 billion a year for many years, okay. We have paid to china like a check, cash, im not talking about deficits, im talking about the loss, real money loss. We have been handing china 500 billion a year forever. I dont blame china. I blame our leaders. Why would they allow this to happen . We didnt do anything. Obama did nothing against china. Biden doesnt know hes alive. These people, what china did to obama, it got worse under obama. Then you know, it was bushs fault, too. It was everybodys fault before me. I stopped look, they have never paid us anything. Now theyre paying us a lot. I havent even started. Theres a big chunk i havent even done yet. Maria theres a bank of america if you want to stop their military, if you want to stop their military, you do exactly what im doing. Maria yeah. Theres a bank of america report says the further deterioration in relations between the u. S. And china would set off a chain of events that would push oil down more than 50 to the low 30s. In other words thats okay with me. I dont know. You know, were the Largest Oil Producer in the world. Im oldfashioned when it comes to our country. I like low gasoline prices, okay. Were the Largest Oil Producer now under me, were the largest in the world. When i get the pipelines approved in texas, we will go up by another 35 . But you know what, if that happened, by the way, i disagree with that. A lot of people say it would actually drive prices up. But what does bank of america know. I have watched them. They dont know too much. Maria well i mean, if hes saying its going to move them down, it might have the opposite effect. Maria im just saying you know what, if that happened, we will have nice low gasoline prices. That wouldnt be the worst thing in the world. Maria so you have a plan b should you not do a deal with china. Going into this meeting, what is victory for you . My plan b is maybe my plan a. My plan b is that if we dont make a deal, i will tariff and maybe not at 25 , but maybe at 10 , but i will tariff the rest of the 600 billion that were talking about. We have much more than 300 billion worth of products. Now, whats going to happen, then all of those companies will move out of china, most of them
@type":"Organization
archive.org
@type":"ImageObject
800
600
//ia803003.us.archive.org/32/items/FBC_20190626_100000_Mornings_With_Maria_Bartiromo/FBC_20190626_100000_Mornings_With_Maria_Bartiromo.thumbs/FBC_20190626_100000_Mornings_With_Maria_Bartiromo_000001.jpg
@type":"Organization
