Peter well, the sound that you heard last night was tiktokers breathing sigh of relief, badly choreographed one but my reaction is a little bit of surprise, i kind of thought microsoft had this in the bag the way they were posturing about it and they seemed like the big loser here. Campaigning openly to be the chosen one here and it doesnt look like any kind of deal maker in the wake of this, but hats off to oracle, they seem like theyve gotten a deal. This isnt outright sale, basically Technology Partner of tiktok in the United States and sort of remains to be seen whether thats enough because the the condition put by the Trump Administration is some outright sale. We will see how it goes. Maria i guess my question would be what does this mean in terms to have data and user information at oracle, how many people at tiktok would go work for oracle because the Chinese Communist party has been strategic to get data transfer, we have seen string of indictments, has been identify today work with them transfer data. Is that going to be the case here . How many tiktok workers would work with oracle . Yeah, its a really good question, so i think youre getting at the heart of oracle, may be the chosen one here. Oracle has a very good reputation in terms of knowing how to do the logistics and securing data and its going to be a probably very complicated relationship that they set up with tiktok and its u. S. Operations so that there are some more church and state sort of separations on what through the bite Dance Network or, you know, what china has essentially has access to and what remains in the u. S. Whats really a big factor here is Data Sovereignty and, you know, where the data on u. S. Users actually resides and generally that will need to be in the u. S. And that needs to be in maria dagen. Dagen is this going to even pass i raise the issue is this going raise muster, the oracle deal with the white house and the committee on Foreign Investment in the u. S. It still has to be reviewed and maybe this isnt a loss for microsoft, maybe its a win for microsoft because it doesnt want to get in bed with the Chinese Communist party in a way that it still remains to be seen what is in this deal, this partnership for oracle.
