Miff sudden told the mifsud told the fbi he and papadopoulos never talked about clinton emails. Papadopoulos believes haspel is trying to cover up the u. K. And australian role with the cia. Whats more, a political article says haspel is coordinating with u. S. Attorney john durham. The article also quotes a former cia officer who works in cooperation with the Brookings Institute and much of the left in this country, the brookings is a liberal washington think tank where Christopher Steeles primary subsource worked for five years. Coincidence . Perhaps not. The form ecia former cia officer is confident there has been no serious wrongdoing and will, therefore, find a means to cooperate. End quote. Inversely then, if haspel thought there was serious wrongdoing, she would not cooperate. What is she doing . She now is, apparently, blocking the release of very sensitive, stillclassified documents. Lou lets start with these allegations about haspel blocking access to declassified documents and how successful can she be if, indeed, she is . Well, weve worked closely together with the director for many, many years. I hope that thats not the case. Ive read the same stories that you have. The key to all of this has been full and complete transparency and the maximum release of documentation. So no matter what what Intelligence Agency has it, we need it, and we need it now. The American People have a right the know about this information that is still being classified. And so, look, were continuing to work as well as we can, i will tell you that director ratcliffe has been a breath of fresh air. He was on our committee for a long time, he was also on the judiciary committee, and he has been in there doing his best job to try to make sure that the American People have a full picture of what was really going on back in 20 service. And thats 2016. Thats really the key here, lou, you know, this has always been the key. Because it never made any sense why the fbi would pick up a document like this steele dossier that was just garbage and use it. It never made any sense. And so we need all of that documentation from 2016 to get out. Lou well, we also have to look at what in the world the inspector general, whos been lauded by republicans and democrats alike oddly enough, to me investigating the investigators. The fact that horowitz did not take umbrage with that process of the fbi or as former director james comey yesterday told the senate, everything was being done by the book, in his opinion, throughout. This is mindlessness. You were amongst the very first to introduce what was really happening, this plot against the president. It is cheerily clearly that. It is orchestrated among the national leftwing media, the Democratic Party that has become an outrage in this country. And the Intelligence Community working hand in glove with the democratic president ial nominee of 2016, Hillary Clinton, and her campaign and the Democratic National committee. There is no guesswork here. It is obvious. Why in the world would the Justice Department not react . Well, i believe that they are, and i will say this, its quite possible that the i. G. , horowitz who youre referring to did not see all of these documents. Because, in fact, i am quite sure the documents that i have been able to review recently are documents that we didnt have during our investigation that were clearly relevant. That, quite frankly, every american needs to see the documents that i have seen. And that is its just wrong because as everyone knows, we had a fullblown investigation that i was leading back in early 2017. Lou right. We had subpoenas out for this information, and there was clearly an orchestrated effort to keep certain documents away from the legislative branch of government, both house and senate. Finish and thats unacceptable. And so i dont know where i know everybody wants to know where doj is at on this. Look, i dont know and i should not know. Nobody should know where this doj investigation is at right now. But what we should have is that every document thats in the possession of the United States government should be put out because with we you are exactly right, and this is the problem moving forward. The Intelligence Services in this country have been corrupted by the Democratic National party and their propaganda arm in the media. And this is a problem that only third world countries have. And, you know, as the republican leader of the Intelligence Committee in the house, i have a duty and a responsibility to insure that that never happens. My colleagues and the American People are counting on us to make sure that information gets out. Lou youre exactly right. And we should point out that everyone whos been elected by the American People to serve in congress and the senate have precisely the same duty. And in too many cases, they are not fulfilling that duty. In fact, they are violating their oaths to defend this constitution and the american way of life. Its outrageous. It is. Lou lets turn to John Ratcliffe, who you just mentioned. Indeed, he has done the nation Great Service in declassifying and making known these documents and, most recently and most explosively, the documents that show that the intelligence agencies at least some of them believe that Hillary Clinton actually originated the idea of the russian collusion allegations against donald trump and his campaign. Yeah. Lou where will that go, and why is it in your judgment that the fbi never followed through . Despite that referral from the Intelligence Community . So this is something that we actually did work on. We were mocked at the time by the propaganda arm of the left, the media. Every Establishment Group in this town because we said there was a trade craft problem here. And one of the criminal referrals of the 14 that weve made is exactly on this issue. And so director ratcliffe now has put out this information that we knew about some of the information, but its far worse than i ever imagined. And the American People need to support the director of national intelligence. He has a responsibility on the executive branch side to fully brief congress and to fully get in this information out to the American People. Lou the president is now in a race for reelection. It is a, we are told by many of the same polling organizations that were entirely wrong in 2016, that he is running behind in a number of battleground states and nationally as well. And apparently, there has been a decision made at the Justice Department not to release the information that the American People need for there to be true transparency and about what will come, if anything, of the durham investigation. This is not, this is not childs play, and i think, frankly, congressman, that the attorney general is playing the American People, perhaps the president. Ill put it straightforwardly to it. I am very let me tell you what i think it is. I do have confidence in director ratcliffe, and i do have confidence in the attorney general, and i do have confidence in the attorney out of connecticut. But i think here is the issue, and weve seen it time and time again. The media knows that durham is sitting on when i say the media, that basically means the Democratic Party is sitting on something, its the biggest scandal in American History by far. Lou right. So what they did lou bar none. They ran a series of fake news bombs that they dropped on the u. S. Attorney out of connecticut. I think it always gives pause, because so many people Pay Attention to what the media is saying. And, you know, i would encourage everyone at the department of justice to ignore what the media is saying. And i can tell you clearly, this doesnt involve this election. When youre talking about the dirty cops at the doj and the fbi, former clinton folks, Clinton Campaign people, that has nothing to do with these elections that are going on right now. So i would encourage them if theres something that should get out before this election, it better happen because, look, if i dont know whats going to happen in the election. The president is facing tremendous headwinds. I still believe the American People are going to make the right decision, and he will be reelected. But if it comes out later that there was something that really would have changed the direction of this election, i mean, itll look once again like the Intelligence Services were doing what and the doj was doing what . Backing up the Democrat Party, and it will lead to really bad things in this country. And the president i want to point this out, the president mentioned this other night, the left continues to say and the media says are you going to accept the results of the election. And donald trump did a good job. He probably should have expanded on it more, its biden and clinton and obama and the media who never accepted the results of the election. Where are we right now as a nation . This is fundamental to the, to this entire election. But your sense of what is going on here, first and foremost, accusing the president of not having condemned hate groups. It is the most mindless thing imaginable. I mean, were watching reporters, columnists, all sorts of people get exorcised here over something that is a matter of the record external to the debate. Its been there for over four years. Yeah. The emphasis and the intent of these questioners is on the answer, its on the question. They want to keep asking and asking and asking again, and that supposedly sends the message to the American People tata they must have to ask that they must have to ask for a reason, almost to say did you beat your wife, did you beat your wife, did you beat your wife. Thats the intent. There was a lot of asymmetry in that debate as people noticed because if you want to get on the subject of race and talk about charlottesville, then you would think, okay, were talking about controversial items of racism and the treatment of race in our language. Now we turn to joe biden and whats the most obvious thing joe biden said lately . He said either you aint black or he said to an africanamerican journalist how would you like it if i called you a junkie and a cocaine head. So the point im making is he didnt do that. Instead he just kept asking and asking and asking, and he knew the answer because, as you pointed out, hed had the answer before on a numerous occasions both to himself and others. It was an orwellian attempt to say to people theres a reason why i have to ask him again and again so the more desperate, then people said, well, he didnt qualify. Well, at some point donald trump cant play that game anymore. Im not going to answer. What do you want to know one time if, because he knew what they were doing. And the question has been asked by at least in one instance the same person over the course of that four years. It is, it is, to me, amazing that in your state, your governor wants to take up the issue of reparations in california. As we just told our audience, brought into the union in 1850, it was never a slave state. What would the reparations be for, pray tell . I dont know. Hes a historically ignorant governor in a state thats historically ignorant. The funny thing about the compromise of 1850 was that california had stated under no circumstances were they going to be admitted without being able to prohibit slavery. And that almost precipitated the civil war, ten years earlier than it occurred. And so under the, you know, sevenster, henry clay and calhoun, they cobbled together the missouri compromise, they came up with a new one and said, okay, california not come in unless will not come in unless its slavefree, so weve got to do something, let u. S. Or new mexico make their own choices, and we have to have the fugitive slave law in force. California was adamant it would never enter the quites and allow slavery. And, of course, what do you do with the 27 of the current population, lou, that was not born in the United States that resides in the state of california . So are we going to say that you just came here within your lifetime, but youre going to pay for the purported sins 160 years ago . What do we do about the racial makeup of the state . The whites in this state are 39 of the population. So are we telling the latino population, 41 , or the asianamerican at 16, youre culpable for slavery . And what are we telling the white population that hasnt there was only about 1520,000 people who can trace their lineage all the way back to that period. So even if you believed in the sins of the father, you must pay for, theres nobody around really in the state that had anything to do with slavery. So what, again, is the intelligent. Its like the intent of this absurdity. The intent is were going to virtue signal that we feel that 6 of the california population deserve wealth transfers from the other 94 , and when that happens, that will show how culpable and racist this state is. And we who instituted this law will feel so good about ourselves. Does that mean that theyre going to have inner city charter schools, does that mean that the wealthy and the elite are going to try to mentor africanamerican atrisk children . Does that mean that were going to integrate our neighborhoods, people in malibu and Pacific Coast highway areas or Beverly Hills will want to go into southcentral l. A. And really make no. Its a psychological mechanism, people like gavin newsom can feel good about their own privilege. Lou and to seal binding coalition of interests in demographic groups that otherwise might splinter and actually reason it out for themselves. Its, this virtue signaling has become a projection of manifest ignorance. Its not just simply california that is a state that is historically ignorant. Its, unfortunately, the truth in too many of our states. And its also a result of the 1619 project. Youve got to remember that about 8 Million People have left the state, and its considering a 16 income tax rate because to old 13. 3, the highest in the country, was not enough. So i think this is aimed at sort of an ethnic cleansing of the state. Theyre saying to some the population, were going to make this so ideologically intolerant that we want more of you to leave. And they rely on the 4 trillion in market capitalization of silicon Silicon Valley to subsidize that exodus. They think they can get rid of the old reagan voter or whats left of the old pete wilson voter and make up the difference with this huge Global Fortune thats come into Silicon Valley and the california coast. Is there polling . What how do you judge where you are right now in the race . Well, weve actually, we have done some polling. Unfortunately, i dont want to give away any secrets, but were definitely tightening up very quick as well as even President Trump in the district is climbing back rapidly as well. So i think by election day, especially with all the momentum we have going on, its going to be a very close race, one of the closest in the country. But its one of the few that we actually have an opportunity to take a seat away from the democrats. And, of course, in oregon thats always a great talking point as well. Lou well, weve kept up the margin of the wins, clinton, obama and obama, its been moving in the right direction for you. Itll be interesting to see how the people of oregon are feeling particularly in your district. Portland, the nation is looking at portland and thinking everyone in oregon has to be out of their mind to put up with ted wheeler, the mayor, kate brown, your governor. These are add radical left wing even by thed radical dem standards of today. How does the district stack up, and how do they react to those socalled leaders . Well, it obviously scares a lot of people away from the Democrat Party to see their reaction. I mean, not only do you have the forest mismanagement and all the fires going on on the Cascade Mountain range recently, but the same party that is okay with these riots also wants to defund the police and take away your guns.
