Federal Judge Won't Jump Into TransPerfect Fee Fight
Law360 (April 13, 2021, 4:25 PM EDT) -- A Delaware federal judge has declined to inject himself into a quarrel over fees charged by a retired Skadden partner to TransPerfect Global Inc. as part of a sprawling dispute over the company's ownership, determining that he lacks jurisdiction.
Chancellor Andre G. Bouchard of Delaware's Court of Chancery in January had lifted restrictions on the ability of TransPerfect and co-founder Philip R. Shawe's ability to review the previous and future billing records of custodian Robert B. Pincus, the former Skadden partner, in the underlying dispute.
