ONE of South Fermanagh’s greatest assets, Killyfole Lough, may soon be leased to Fermanagh District Council by the Water Service, for use by the local community. The Council would intend to sub-lease the property to Killyfole and District Development Association which has plans for its development. The initial cost to the Council would be about £25,000. Members of Fermanagh Council welcomed the decision. Brian McCaffrey said the angling rights were extremely important to the community partnership in Erne East, where there is a lake strategy. Rodney Connor, the Council’s Chief Executive, said the angling rights were being investigated at present.
