A spokesman for Fire and Rescue NSW confirmed the call was issued at 19.50pm on Thursday. "The alarm was activated, it's believed, by a candle," he said, "There was no fire to extinguish by our teams, and the issue is now resolved." It was an exceptional start to Easter celebrations, after Holy Thursday mass was conducted by Bishop Gregory Homeming from 7pm. Bishop Homeming will also preside over masses for Good Friday at 3pm, Easter Vigil on Saturday at 7pm and Easter Sunday at 9am, all from St Carthage's Cathedral Lismore.
