THE owners of The Old Swan Inn in Gargrave which was badly damaged by fire almost a year ago have said it is hoped the pub will reopen towards the end of the summer. The grade two listed, former coaching inn on Gargrave High Street, has been closed since last May when a fire broke out the day before it had been due to be reopened following a relaxation in coronavirus restrictions. Fire crews from across the area using specialist equipment spent several hours fighting the flames. The then landlord, Tim Sharp, was brought down from the roof by firefighters.
