Firebombing suspect charged for attack at Hunterâs Ambulance in Meriden Firebombing suspect charged for attack at Hunterâs Ambulance in Meriden March 10, 2021 12:33AM By Nick Sambides Jr., Record-Journal staff MERIDEN â A disgruntled former Hunterâs Ambulance Service employee was in police custody on Tuesday to face charges for the Meriden portion of an alleged Molotov cocktail firebombing spree last month. Meriden police charged Richard White, 37, of Torrington, on Tuesday with criminal attempt to commit first-degree arson, manufacturing of bombs, second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal mischief. White is accused of setting off one bomb in a workerâs breakroom at a Hunterâs office in Old Saybrook and then allegedly throwing a bomb that smashed into the side of the Hunterâs office on West Main Street.
