The organization that helps children, youth and families, says it is heartbroken. It describes the employee’s comments as an act of racism that don’t reflect the values or the work of the agency. The FIREFLY logo was used in the person’s profile. It has offices across the area, including at Fort Frances and Atikokan. The agency is still investigating, but add it denounces all forms of hate speech, racism, and misinformation circulating.
