BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Good Tuesday. Today we remember all the lives lost on this horrible day ten years ago. Prayers go out to all the families impacted by the two rounds of storms that occurred on April 27, 2011.
It is a mild start to the day with temperatures mostly in the mid to upper 50s. Temperatures are warmer thanks to the combination of light southerly winds and upper-level clouds moving through the area. First Alert AccuTrack Satellite and Radar is showing us dry with clouds continuing to move from west to east. Cloud cover will continue to filter across the state this afternoon, but we will remain dry. Plan for a mix of sunshine and clouds today with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s by noon. High temperatures are forecast to remain 5-8 degrees above average for late April with highs in the mid 80s. It will be a little breezy today with southerly winds at 10-15 mph. We could see wind gusts this afternoon around 20 mph. Pollen levels will remain fairly high today thanks to the warm temperatures and breezy conditions. Main pollens will Oak, Sycamore, and Juniper.
