DEMING – Inoculations of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine are being administered to health care providers and first responders at Mimbres Memorial Hospital in Deming, New Mexico. As part of a tiered distribution of the vaccine to help disrupt the spread of coronavirus, surgeon Victor Cruz (MD) was among the first tiered recipients to take the vaccine. He is scheduled for a follow-up dose in three weeks, as recommended for the Pfizer vaccine. “The shot was painless, and except for some soreness in the shot area, I am experiencing no side effects,” Cruz said, who is also a City of Deming Councilman.
