First Responder Friday Salutes Mark Bradbury Each week we salute one of Central New York's First Responders. Those who come to our recuse no matter the weather, the time of day, or what is going on in their own life at the moment. This week we salute Mark Bradbury who serves both full and part time in the community. Mark began with the Smithfield Fire Department when he was still in high school. Nearly 20 years later he still serves, currently as the department's chief. Mark is also on the front lines as both a firefighter and EMT. His full time gig is just as nerve racking, Mark is a dispatcher with Madison County 911. While I've never served in either role as a firefighter or dispatcher, it's always seemed to me trying to get important information from someone in panic mode would require a very special skill.
