MARCY, N.Y. -- On Tuesday, Assemblywoman Marianne Buttonschon, D-119, recognized dozens of first responders at Maynard Fire Department for saving the life of a 27-year-old woman threatening to jump off a bridge on State Route 291 above the Barge Canal this past May.
The nine emergency agencies that responded to the Oneida 911 call were Kunkel Ambulance, Oneida County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, Maynard Fire Department, Whitesboro Fire Department, Whitesboro Police Department, Oriskany Fire Department, New York Mills Police Department, and Yorkville Police Department.
