Updated: 6:38 PM EDT Jul 2, 2021 Hide Transcript Show Transcript now. NBC five. First warning weather with meteorologist Tyler Jankowski. Alright, a big night in Montreal and a lot of people are watching from those big outdoor screens. What are they looking at better than here? There's more sun up. They're not seeing rain at this moment on storm tracker, but we've got a big day two in ST albans tomorrow. We are the media partner for the Great Race triathlon. It's also Bay Day with a bunch of other events going on. I wish we could make it a little brighter, but it does look like there'll be a lot of clouds mostly dry though. So good news for the race that starts at nine a.m. I'll be there for that. And then the duct tape regatta at one p.m. In Saint Albans Bay and some live music and food in the afternoon. So 60 is with a couple of raindrops, Certainly more rain right now on storm tracker across northern New york, Especially just about every corner of ST Lawrence County has the rain, It's a little dryer, right in Malone along route 11 and then up through northern Clinton County. Some breaks of sunshine here on the satellite of the northern champlain island, Swanton and then right over Saint Albans Bay. Not much rain on storm tracker, but it is moving in again from the south of Burlington area has had a decent amount of rain. It's lifted out for now, but you get the idea it's back and forth, at least for this evening. If you're lucky, you'll see a little ray of sunshine. There's not much going on though in the Upper Valley. So for the weekend overall, it's cool, about 70 averages Low 80° below average, but it is mostly dry, just spotty showers as we go along and brighter by July four. So the trend is positive here as we go forward each day, 67 right now, that's all we can manage In Burlington, 10 cooler than that at the base of white face. There you go down the road in town and lake placid. We've got 58 and in southern Vermont of 59 in Springfield 62 in Rutland. So here's future cast still the potential for a shower tonight. So we're not all clear this evening and then into tomorrow we have the clouds with some breaks of sun. Notice here some green specks indicating the spotty showers for tomorrow, but I don't think it's the steady rain that we had today, So a little drier tomorrow and then even drier for Sunday. Look at the sunshine that starts to mix in as we go through July four for more of us. So that's why I think Sunday is the best weekend day. It's certainly the driest and it's also the warmest, little warmer than tomorrow will be. So unlike champlain. The wind is slight tomorrow east 5 to 10 knots under that, down by crown point, so waves one ft or less. But the water temperature Has sort of taken a hit again. Having some flashbacks to memorial day weekend 61. This is the history of the water temperature over the last month where we briefly level, I should say we did briefly hit 70°,, but the level is important to just under 95 ft at 94.89. So if you have any property near the lake, you've certainly been noticing that and the trend is still down in the Level department. I don't think this rain will really send it up. Either temperatures in the fifties tonight, highs tomorrow sixties to about 70 71 in ST Albans in Highgate 69 in South Hero. A few seventies there too. Right along the route 11 corridor out by Messina where I think there's a little more sun than everyone else gets tomorrow. More like mostly cloudy here as you head down in southern Vermont 59 that's it in ludlow, but more sunshine a little bit brighter on sunday. So good news there. Look at monday sunny with a high of 84. So big improvement there storms with humidity on Tuesday and then it turns cooler after that for Wednesday and thursday with highs in the seventies but should be back into the eighties by the end of next week. Alice. Thanks this. Mhm, mm. Right.
