Five hundred Easter eggs were distributed to community organisations after a large appeal was launched.
Home care company, Home Instead South Lakes, ran its ‘Be an Easter Bunny to a Someone’ initiative, asking the local community to donate chocolate eggs to people across the area this Easter, to spread some joy and festive cheer.
Of the 500 chocolate eggs donated to the campaign, 300 came from individuals and 200 were donated by Morrison’s in Kendal, who hosted the donation point.
Rachel Sanders, recruitment and community engagement coordinator at Home Instead said: “We launched the campaign as a follow-up to our Christmas gift-giving initiative, where a great deal of people donated gifts to local seniors.
