A home care company s Easter egg campaign saw hundreds of donations.
Home Instead South Lakes ‘Be an Easter bunny to a someone’ initiative collected chocolate eggs to donate in the community, with 500 being donated in total; 300 from individuals and 200 from Kendal s Morrisons store.
The eggs were distributed with the help of the green watch team at Kendal Fire Station to community organisations including: Impact Housing Jenkins Crag and South Lakes Foyer; Sight Advice South Lakes; Targeted South Support; Councillor Michel Miles; Kendal Community Emergency Planning Group; the Kendal Integrated Care Community Team; Manna House; the Sandylands Association; Kendal People’s Café; the parish church; and Nutwood Medical Practice. ....

Five hundred Easter eggs distributed to community organisations in Kendal
Five hundred Easter eggs were distributed to community organisations after a large appeal was launched.
Home care company, Home Instead South Lakes, ran its âBe an Easter Bunny to a Someoneâ initiative, asking the local community to donate chocolate eggs to people across the area this Easter, to spread some joy and festive cheer.
Of the 500 chocolate eggs donated to the campaign, 300 came from individuals and 200 were donated by Morrisonâs in Kendal, who hosted the donation point.
Rachel Sanders, recruitment and community engagement coordinator at Home Instead said: âWe launched the campaign as a follow-up to our Christmas gift-giving initiative, where a great deal of people donated gifts to local seniors. ....
