(WBTV) - Governor Roy Cooper is ordering all North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered to half-staff in honor of Concord Police Officer Jason Shuping who was shot and killed Wednesday night. This will begin Friday, Dec. 18 and go until sunset on Sunday, Dec. 20. Shuping was killed in a shooting on Gateway Lane near Bruton Smith Boulevard just before 11 p.m. Wednesday. Officers exchanged shots with the suspect, who was armed, according to officials. Another officer, identified as 23-year-old Kaleb Robinson, was injured in the shooting.
