The Flyer, named for a passenger train that ran from 1878 until 1957, operated off and on as a heritage train attraction between 2003 and 2013, travelling between Kingston and Fairlight. In 2011, after a three-year hiatus, it was revived by the late David Bryce, who spent $1.3 million restoring the engines and carriages before relaunching the operation.
