(Aaron Rosenblatt/Daily Republic) Food distribution event shows need during Covid still very real SUISUN CITY — Organizers of a free food distribution event Friday in Suisun City expected to give away 1,200 boxes filled with milk, yogurt, cooked meats and produce – a clear indication that some individuals are still in great need due to the curtailing response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Free Food for Solano was organized by Heather Pierini in response to the need during the pandemic, and she partnered with Suisun City Vice Mayor Wanda Williams for this event at the Joseph A. Nelson Community Center.
