A landmark initiative has been launched by the state government with the public invited for the first time to have their say on the future of native forests.
Every 10 years a new forest management plan is penned for the state and this is the first time it has gone out for a public consultation before the stakeholder consultation period, reflecting a growing community debate around the future of native forest logging.
