BENNINGTON â For Michelle LeBlanc, the vests worn by the service animals she trains at Vermont Paws & Boots are a badge of courage for the humans whom theyâve befriended, as well as a sign that theyâre working animals and not pets.
Friday, LeBlanc was hailed by area veterans, first responders and state Rep Mary A. Morrissey, R-Bennington 2-2, for the work her organization has done on behalf of veterans and first responders dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The Gage Street-based center serves veterans and first responders from across the state and surrounding states as well.
