BELLEVILLE — A former Alton police officer was charged Tuesday in connection to the death of a Cahokia man in an alleged drunk driving accident in St. Clair County.
Ashley Roever, 32, of Bethalto, was charged by the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol. The case was presented by the Sauget Police Department and Illinois State Police.
