FLINT, MI -- Nearly five dozen objections to the Flint water crisis settlement have been logged in U.S. District Court this week, including two from former mayors Karen Weaver and Woodrow Stanley.
Stanley’s form-letter objection to the settlement was filed with the court Wednesday, April 21, and part of it says he plans to appear at a July 12 fairness hearing on the $641-million settlement, which has received preliminary approval in federal and state courts.
