A 21-year-old Fort Collins man and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested Sunday and now face multiple felony charges after a drive-by shooting in Laporte last week, according to a Larimer County Sheriff's Office release. Rene Lozano Jr., 21, was arrested and booked into the Larimer County Jail on Thursday and remained there as of 1:30 p.m. Friday, when he appeared virtually in court. Lozano is being investigated on two charges of attempt to commit first-degree murder, two violent crime charges and one charge of illegally discharging a firearm. He has no related criminal history, according to Larimer County court records. The allegations against Lozano stem from a drive-by shooting in which police say Lozano shot a firearm at a man outside a home near the 2100 block of West County Road 54, according to the release. Neither bullet fired hit the victim.
