All of this going on behind the scenes with this to make sure that the israelis are set up for success and what will be an extraordinarily difficult ground campaign. One of the Big Questions is will hezbollah get involved. They are up there on the southern border of lebanon. Hamas for all that barbarity that it showed in the attacks of last weekend is not considered as strong as hezbollah. If hezbollah gets involved in the israelis have to fight a two front war, how does that change the equation . It changes it significantly. It will require israel to make very difficult decisions on allocation of its resources. Whether its to the north or the south they could delay or Impact Campaign down into gaza, certainly. It has very, very significant implications for the campaign. As you mentioned, hezbollah is very capable. Much more technically enabled. Better weapons. More fighters. More organized. It could be a very serious threat. Which is why it think we are seeing the United States posture and the way that we are here to send a very clear message to the region about trying to prevent any enlargement or expansion in this conflict. But if the United States has made it clear we dont want to be involved, how effective is the Deterrent Force if we are not launching Cruise Missiles into iran or at hezbollah camps or hamas sites . The way it is effective is these Carrier Strike groups can hold hezbollah, can hold my ron and other actors that may try to step into this. They can hold them at risk. The United States can make decisions down the line about perhaps those resources if it looks like it is expanding the conflict. That is the idea. The deterrence is a factor of both capability and wealth. I think we have seen a strong message from our government in terms of our support for israel. Now we are seeing the capability show up in theater that can back up that wall. Jon certainly hamas did not want this barbaric attack and think there would be no response from the israelis. They had to know this incursion into gaza is coming. I, personally, just have to wonder whether they have wired the tunnels. Whether they have laid antitank mines in the streets in anticipation of precisely the kind of response that israel is launching. That is exactly right. As Secretary Austin said, this is a three dimensional fight here. Not only the surface, but it is in the air, above the ground and buildings and other structures there. It is also subterranean. There are reports that hamas has built, you know, over the years about 480 kilometers worth of underground tunnels. This is significant. There should be no allusions on how difficult this fight is. Being backed by countries like iran making use of explosive devices, we should expect to see that. I suspect that as a lot of what the Israeli Forces are doing right now. Making sure they are well prepared. Have the right array of organizations that they will need to go in and be successful in this environment.
