Also means more time to negotiate a deal down the line. We got a statement from the dock men overnight and they say the international Longshoremens Association and the u. S. Maritime alliance have reached a tentative agreement on wages. Also agreed to extend the Master Contract until January 15th of next year to return to the Bargaining Table to negotiate all other outstanding issues. Now, the strike, which lasted three days, was being closely watched by many, many feared it was creating huge economic headaches for both businesses and consumers. The deal reached Last Night will mean Wage Increase of more than 60 over the next six years. We also got a statement from President Biden overnight. He says todays tentative agreement on a Record Wage and extension of the collective Bargaining Process represents critical progress towards a strong contract. While Dock Workers are celebrating many americans in the southeast are still cleaning up from Hurricane Helene and they are wondering whats next . There is probably maybe 100 homes that are damaged on the Catawba River here on part of Lake Riley and mount island lake. We are also hearing from republicans who say that a lot of the money that fema should be spending on Disaster Relief in their view should have been spent on just that as opposed to working on the migrant crisis. We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the Funds Fema does not have the funds to make it through the season. Today, former President Trump, he will also be touring the disaster zone, meeting with Georgias Governor brian kemp. And there is a lot of concern about what the rest of Hurricane Season could bring as it goes until The End of november. Fema just got funded to the tune of 20 billion, just a week and a half, two weeks ago. So Thats Something to be noted. They have not come to congress. Not that this needs to be classified or anything and said hey, listen, this is where the numbers stand, given North Carolina, given florida, given anything thats on the hoards. They havent done that as republicans, we should be taking this as a chance to go into washington and say this is why you put America First. This is where you take money from the billions going to afghanistan. The billions going to gaza. The billions going to illegals on the southern border and let the american people have their money to help them survive. Thats the message that we should take into washington between now and november. Right now there is no plans to do that. Steve you know and you look at mayorkas, you are seeing him say, you know, we dont have enough money to spend on american towns that are suffering from the hurricane, and whatnot, and you think, wait a minute, thats the guy who says theres no problem at the southern border.
