FOXNEWS The Ingraham Angle October 5, 2024

Want to miss. But, first,. No water, barely have food. Everybody expiring in the fridge. Being without power is not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is not having drinkable water. Right now everything is just devastating. It's eye opening. I talked to one of my close childhood friends yesterday. And her house is completely destroyed. And we are just thankful we can get here to get diapers and formula and a hot meal because right now those are very important to us because the stores don't have them. Laura: at least 230 people have lost their lives across six states from hurricane helene. There are 1. 8 million total power outages. Buncombe county, north carolina alone where asheville is makes up 31% of the total deaths. And there are at least 200 people still unaccounted for. Families as you heard are continuing to struggle to get basic necessities. That means that private citizens in the absence of federal government relief, they have to provide relief. And this is all despite assurances from the bidenharris administration that the government would have hurricane season completely covered. Fema is tremendously prepared. This is what we do. This is what they do. And the key here, rebecca, is also to make sure that the communities who are potentially impacted are prepared as well. Laura: can you believe anything that that man says about anything? like their lies about covid, inflation, afghanistan, the consequences have been devastating. We just feel like we are being forgotten. We haven't received any response from fema. We're not getting the amount of support that we need. We haven't seen fema. We haven't seen red cross. We haven't seen hearts with hands. We have seen no agencies come in here. Most people drive through with our animals out filming us like we're animals in a zoo. We the people. There is no we the people. It's them versus us. That's how it feels to many americans tonight kamala is on way to south carolina. This is a pattern we have seen play out crisis after crisis under the bidenharris administration. First, they falsely reassure us that they are prepared. Then, when disaster strikes, we, the people discover the true story, the neglect, resources wasted on their left wing causes like dei or illegal immigrants. Money that should have gone to help american people in need, yeah. Save it for a rainy day. Then the coverup comes. They politicize the tragedy by pretending they've done everything possible to alleviate the suffering while their media allies shift the blame onto the man who hasn't been in office for four years, donald trump. And then right on queue, here is politico, yeah, claiming trump is the man who made the disaster response himself political. But, in reality, trump is showing all of us what real leadership looks like during a natural disaster. Today, he was in georgia again. This time alongside governor kemp. I want to thank president trump for coming back to our state again for the second time to view storm damage and keep a national focus on our state as we recover. I'm not thinking about voters right now. I'm thinking about lives. And, to be honest, it's much bigger than anything else. Buff we are thinking about lives. A lot of lives lost. A lot of people missing. And that's what i would be focused on right now. Laura: a statesman, yeah. You saw it. And while biden and harris have been patting themselves on the back for how they have handled this disaster. Trump is giving credit where it's actually due. I want to thank elon musk by the way for his quick action with star link. He supplied a lot of equipment to the governor, to georgia, and to north carolina in particular, and he acted very, very quickly. They needed communication, there was no communication, the polls are down, the wires are down. And he acted really really quickly. Laura: of course kamala joe, they call up elon musk, the man that they have been setting pong for these past few years, thank him for the work is he doing? no. Yeah. What they are doing though, is throwing up obstacles to his assistance. Musk says he received a note from a spacex engineer that said that the big issue is that fema is actively blocking shipments and seizing goods and services locally and then locking them away to state that well, they are their own. It's very real and scary. How much they have taken control to help stop people helping. We're blocked now in the shipment of new star links coming in until we can get an escort from the fire department but that may not be enough. Now, the only way to stop this pattern that i just laid out, the pattern of neglect, lies, coverups, from having this repeat again and again, is to kick kamala out of the white house. Otherwise, it's going to be another four years of needless and infuriating american suffering. Joining me now is sarah marino resident of arden, north carolina. Sara, i'm so sorry that everything that you and your friends and family have gone through. Describe for us, this is not about politics, this is about facts. How would you describe the government response in your area? yes, ma'am. Thank you for having me on. I just want to shout my mom watches your show and watches you every night. She is very excited about this. You know, this is not about me. Obviously, you know, i think from day one, the things that we were experiencing, you know, i think after two or three days, we were like no power, no water, like, what are we supposed to do? we're going to have to go out there and look for ourselves. You know, my neighborhood, wasn't hit, super hard. You know, i did have some damage to my home. But, i mean, even still, i think people should have access to an mre or case of water from, you know, hopefully fema or the guard. I think they should be out there distributing those resources. And i'm not seeing that and i'm not hearing that that's happening. So, i just, you know, i understand the gravity, little by little i think we are understanding how devastating this has been. But, it's just like i said this three days ago like where are the resources? and it's now friday, it's been over a week. And i'm just not seeing that support in our communities. If anything, the community is carrying this. Laura: well, as americans do, americans step in the breach, and they get it done. But, sarah, biden did speak out. He was asked the question of, you know, what else do these communities need? watch the exchange. What do the states in the storm zone need, mr. President? hey? what do the states in the storm zone need after what you saw today? oh the storm zone? yes, sir. I didn't know which storm you are talking about. They are getting everything they need. And very happy across the board. Laura: first of all, he said what storm are you talking about? then he said you know, they are very happy. How does that sit with the people of your area, you think? i have not seen that clip. You know, i saw the one where he said oh, i was on the phone for two hours. Good for you, i guess. But, you know, it's just like, this is man who is running this country like, and he is saying like, oh, you know, what storm? while people are floating down the swannanoa river, like, i don't it's baffling to me. And insane to me. And what's even worse is i believe, you know, i have a background in journalism. I was a journalist for a few years. I don't take information that i don't believe is credible. And i mean. Laura: sarah, your family and friends are living oili know you have managed to get to a place are you can rest and you can stay. But the people of north carolina are dealing with what i understand to be now perhaps a hurricane that will ultimately be described as worse than katrina. And, get, it seems like the attitude toward these counties and these people, you know, it's serious, it got more serious when the complaints came in. But, i'm worried we're going to have forgotten people here. Oh, oh absolutely that's going to happen. I mean, just the utter calllessness for the administration has been, you know, obscene to me. Like, going on tv and saying oh, $750. Before she even said that, i said this is going to be maui all over again. There are people still missing there are people still waiting. Kamala harris is coming to north carolina tomorrow. What is your message to her, quickly? i don't have words for her. People need to vote in a month and i hope they make the right decision. Laura: well, we got a problem with getting ballots to people, too. I hope that the white house is worried about that part of the voting world. Sarah, thank you very much. And we wish you and your family and friends all the best. It's just. Thank you. Laura: thank you. Yes, ma'am. Laura: donald trump is peaking his big return to butler, pennsylvania tomorrow. To the exact spot that he almost lost his life on july 13th. And, guess what? he is bringing along the angle to document the day and it's going to be an historic one. We will bring you behind the scenes, give you access you are not going to get anywhere else, including exclusive interview with the former president. Instagram for sneak peeks throughout the weekend. It will all air on monday at 7:00 p. M. Eastern. President trump has gotten heightened trump and security for return to butler. It's all been enhanced they say. A damning new report from the new york times, of all places, reveals the agency isn't as stacked as it should be. An exodus of agents left the secret service unprepared for 2024. At least 1400 of its 7,800 employees left in the last few years. And former agents tell the times that many of their best trained people are the ones leaving. Joining us now is richard staropoli former secret service agent. We're just learning about this now. The former agents cite the crushing amounts of overtime sometimes without pay, dilapidated draining facilities, and an agency unwilling to embrace new technology that could improve protection efforts. We have seen an exodus in the military, we have seen an exodus in law enforcement across the country, now we see an exodus in the secret service. Why is this happening? you know, lawyer, this has been years in the making. This didn't just happen. For the last 20 years, the secret service has been routinely ranked in the bottom five amongst the 200 federal agencies. Often they are ranked dead last. Think about that, laura. The bureau of affairs. The last thing those guys did was capture geronimo ranked higher with leadership and manage wanted than the united states secret service. A systemic problem going on for decades. The current leadership in management continue to push that envelope to the point where it broke and they are directly responsible for two assassination attempts in the last month and a half. Laura: last night melania trump told sean hannity about her own secret service concerns. Watch? the man with me and my husband are fantastic. I feel top leadership there are some holes and there are some problems. Our team asked many times for more more security, more more help. And they were denied. Laura: wow. That's from the former first lady's perspective, rich, how concerning is this? it's incredibly concerning, right in the detail that's around the president and mrs. Trump, of course they are committed people. But they should never be in play. It's the people that are outside of these folks that should be doing their job and they are just not up to the task of doing their job. Lawrence: richard, as always, thank you so much. Thank you. Laura: can a k. Kamala stop what seems to be the new maga momentum. I analyze it all. My angle explains it, next. this kia turbohybrid is built for all the things you've yet to do. Like taking a long drive. Just to throw a monster tailgate party at an away game. brisket anyone? do what's yet to be done. The new kia carnival turbohybrid. [narrator] life with ear ringing sounded like a constant train whistle i couldn't escape. Then i started taking lipo flavonoid. With 60 years of clinical experience, it's the number one doctor recommended brand for ear ringing. And now i'm finally free. Take back control with lipo flavonoid. Laura: when the history of this campaign ispollster scott rasmussen with fox news they also have the national race tied. Surveyed almost 3,000 likely voters. The hurricane response by the biden harris administration a wrinkle to that, and i'll get to that in a moment. Now, look, americans know leadership when they see it. And trump got to georgia before either biden or harris did. And even even the federal government remember, it took just, you know, days for someone like an elon musk to get there. And he said he could restore internet service to most of the region if the government would just get out of the way. Of course, musk. Musk would use starlink. He's ready and willing to do so. Well, it's no surprise that the betting markets have begun to move back toward trump because of these factors. And the main reason that trump still leads kamala on the most important issue to voters, which is still the economy because of high prices. People are making less money in real terms than they were four years ago. Most americans, working class americans, feel and are poorer now. I went to the grocery store today to get a few things for my daughter, who's coming home from college. I almost fell over when i was checking out like a box of cereal. Like costs $8. What? like for most families, this just is not sustainable. Now, even at this point, cnn cannot deny the right track, wrong track numbers check this out. The numbers actually show that we lost 7000 manufacturing jobs in the united states, and much of the growth is coming from wait for it government jobs. 107,000 new ones since july 30th, 1000 from august to september. Thanks, kamala. Just what we need. More bureaucratic bloat. And we know this as well, that most of the jobs are going to foreign born workers and illegal immigrants. Over the last year, they've gained 1. 2 million jobs. While native born workers dropped 825,000 jobs. Well, of course, trump hit this today. Else you have illegals coming in and they're taking the jobs. And when you look at the numbers from that standpoint, it's a shame we have to get the jobs. So great, great citizens of our country. Now, none of this is great for american citizens, not good news at all. Bigger government. More illegals taking opportunities. No wonder working class units tonight moving toward trump. Unions that were historically endorsing democrats, are suddenly announcing that, well, we are staying on the sidelines this year. We are not going to endorse anyone. That means one thing. Their manipulate wants trump. International association of firefighters voted not to endorse any candidate. That's seen as a blow to harris just weeks after the teamster's union did the same of course, working class americans watch as the federal government coddles illegals but craters life for everyone else. And hispanic voters. They more
