By Julia Bertino (Omaha, NE) -- A bank robber is sentenced to life in federal prison. The United States Attorney's Office say on Friday, 65 year old Anthony Wayne Hall of Fremont, was sentenced for Aggravated Bank Robbery. Hall will serve a life sentence under the federal “three strikes” law. Federal Prosecutors say that the evidence at trial showed that on November 21, 2019, Hall, armed with a realistic-looking replica revolver, robbed the First State Bank in Fremont. Hall then left town with roughly $10,000 in cash after walking one bank employee to his vehicle under threat of being shot. A customer who attempted to enter the bank during the robbery was the first to call 911.
