Carissa Corlett/Supplied The opening Fringe Festival Gala was a whimsical take on a bar crawl in which a wild, weird and wonderful troupe of festival fanatics took to the streets to march ceremoniously from venue to venue. This will be a refuge space for performers and artists during the day, with public performances at night. The headline act at the FAFF club will be a new late night cabaret curated by award-winning Drag king Hugo Grrrl, supported by What if The City Was a Theatre? Festival director Sasha Tilly said she was thrilled to declare the festival officially open.
