Future of Courtright's 'Silverdome' to be discussed

The future of Courtright Community Hall will be discussed at the next meeting of St. Clair Township council after consultations take place with the Optimist Club of Moore.
In a report to council, Director of Community Services Kendall Lindsay noted that the facility – known locally as the Courtright Silverdome – was built in 1962 and has fallen into a state of disrepair.

Mould, a leaky roof and the lack of accessibility in the facility are among the numerous issues that require immediate attention, Lindsay reported. He recommended a temporary closure of the facility, which council approved. He also noted that repairs will cost over $200,000.
