Gene Harris Jazz Festival at Boise State University Gabe Mangione Since moving to Greeley, Colorado in 2017, Gabriel Mangione has become a highly in-demand drummer in Northern Colorado for a variety of genres. Throughout the week, Mangione stays busy. On the weekend, you might find him playing a show at the Moxi with Hannah and the Cuddies or playing jazz gigs around town with his new avant-garde jazz group called Wolves from Mars. He loves to play whenever and wherever he can. Beginning in high school, Mangione started using performing music to do community service. Playing with jazz bands at veteran’s homes, honor flights, and fundraisers were frequent community service activities for him. One of his favorites was touring schools all throughout Colorado with University of Northern Colorado’s wind ensemble to inspire and educate younger kids about music. He stays busy nowadays playing for multiple churches throughout Greeley.
