Gas cylinders were 'exploding' during fire at Leabourne Road, Carlisle

Fire crews were made aware of the presence of gas cylinders that were "exploding" whilst they tackled a fire.
Firefighters from Carlisle East fire station were mobilised to reports of a small fire in the open, on Leabourne Road, Carlisle At approximately 14.45pm on June 24.
Crews were confronted with a large fire involving numerous outbuildings, which had spread to two properties.
A crew from Carlisle West and Longtown were also in attendance.
Carlisle Station Manager, Mike Clusker, said: "There were small gas cylinders that were exploding whilst we were working on the fire.
