Gas prices up following Colonial Pipeline shutdown; AAA hopes other pipelines, imports can pick up slack

SPRINGFIELD — Pride Stores raised gasoline prices 10 cents a gallon Monday in response to the Colonial Gas pipeline shutdown following cyberattacks.
“There is no effect on supply yet,” said CEO Robert Bolduc. “This is when all the traders and the oil companies cover their bets.”
That means the price Bolduc paid for fuel jumped Monday and he was forced to pass it on.
