Gathering Marks 20 Years Since Sikh Man Killed In Post-9/11

Wednesday marked the 20th anniversary of the first recorded case of post-9/11 retaliation. Balbir Singh Sodhi, a Sikh man profiled as Muslim, was killed outside his own gas station in Mesa.The Sodhis remember their lost family member on Sept.15 every year. This year, interfaith leaders, elected officials and community members were in attendance to honor Sodhi’s memory.
